Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning first with the 24 hour loop I can see that the Sea gradually cleared yesterday from the south to the north later in the afternoon. There were some cells that developed along the coast of Baja in the mountains that could have produced showers in that area especially in the northern end of the Sea.
This morning there is a broadly scattered mix of fluffys and whispys scattered around the Sea that should probably clear my early morning but in general the skies are clear in the Sea this morning.
Looking over at Sonora I can see that along the Sierra Madre Occidentals there was considerable thunderbumper activity there yesterday afternoon that moved north into New Mexico and a few into the southeast corner of Arizona yesterday afternoon. None moved west toward the coast.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera where there has been numerous cells develop in the mountains to the east of Puerto Vallarta south to around Manzanillo. These have moved west and north during the early morning hours and one is currently west of Cabo Corrienties and the other was still building and moving into the Sea between Cabo Corrienties and Puerto Vallarta. Most locations from Manzanillo north have had at least an inch of rain in the past 24 hours.
Around Cabo Corrienties is where a Tropical Wave has emerged and is tickling the fancy of a lonely low there. As of 7am it has no invest designation and the National Hurricane Center is only giving it a 10% chance of developing into anything tropical in the next 48 hours.
So we will put this on the very back burner in our Tropical Kitchen this morning. The only other item of interest is a tropical low, that is the remnants of hurricane Helen, has moved inland from the Caribbean and is now over central Mexico this morning. It still producing a lot of rain in that area.
That’s what is going on in our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where a weak low off the California coast has nudged the high and the monsoon moisture to the east resulting in a cooling trend that will last most of next week for California.
There is still a small chance of some showers and thumpers in the deserts and the mountains in southern California today decreasing as the week wears on.
Looking over to the southwest this image is showing some thunderbumper activity mostly in the mountains last night and with the exception of the far SE corner of the state it is pretty much clear this morning. Cooler weather will continue today and gradually rise into early next week but remain just below seasonal norms. A daily chance of showers and thunderbumper are anticipated daily into next weekend.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like the next 3 days will have moderate winds. Today from the north on the Baja side and westerlies along the Sonoran coast. Monday and Tuesday the moderate winds should all be from the south.
I noted that all the sunrise temperatures were up a degree or two and that should be reflected in this afternoons temperatures as well. It looks like the low to mid 90s today.

73s Y’all
