Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that yesterday we started to see some high cirrus passing over the Sea of Cortez as well as along the Riviera.
This morning the water vapor imagery is showing that we will continue to see these whispys today. They are coming from a very active Monsoon trough that is spreading clouds north at far as Turtle Bay along the west coast.
They will be scattered and broken so some areas along the peninsula will have some high cloud cover while a few miles away it could be clear.
Looking south along the Mexican Riviera this morning I can see they will also see some high whispys today south to around Zihuatanejo. From there south there is fairly heavy thunderbumper activity along the coast south to the Gulf of Tehuantepec where the entire isthmus from the Caribbean to the Pacific is one big thunderbumper this morning.
Looking out into the Eastern Pacific basin the entire southeastern portion is pretty much solid cloud cover. All this is emanating from a very active monsoon trough along 10N this morning.
Still embedded in this trough is that low that has been designated invest 93 and has been slowly moving west for the past 5 days. It still has the potential to develop into something tropical but the window of opportunity is quickly closing. The current models are showing it continuing its westward movement with very little swing to the north so no matter what happens to this system the west coast of Mexico and the Baja peninsula will not be in harms way.
That’s about it for our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where at the very top of this image is the only item that will affect the weather in the west this week. It is a low that is currently in the Gulf of Alaska.
It will arrive on along the U.S. Canadian border Wednesday and drop into the Great Basin probably Thursday resulting in falling bar heights over the basin and cooling down the southwest in the later part of the week.
In the meantime the Great Northwest will see light rain most of the week.
Northern California will be pretty much clear and dry with moderate seasonal temperatures.
Southern California under weak high pressure building over the west will bring a warming trend through tomorrow. The southland will be breezy and cool off a few degrees as that front passed through to the north then later in the week warm back up again for next weekend.
Looking now over to the southwest where it will continue to be hot and dry for the entire week. Temperatures this week will be in the 103-105 ranges for the Tucson area. In the lower deserts temperatures could reach 110 on Wednesday.
Later in the week as that cold front dips down into the Great Basin it will cool off a bit then the temperatures will rebound as high pressure fills in during the weekend.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like today the entire Sea will see moderate southerlies while the northern crossing area will se moderate northerlies today.
Tomorrow from around San Franciscito bay south to Concepcion bay moderate NE. The rest of the Sea SE. Wed the entire Sea will see brisk to strong southerlies. At least that is what it is looking like right now.
Temperatures today for most locations will be about the same as yesterday and be in the high 80s in the northern Sea to the high 90s for the central and southern Sea.

73s Y’all
