Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that in the NE corner of the Sea has some heavy cloudiness that look like they could be rain producers. These are part of a low that is moving out of Sonora into New Mexico and Arizona today.
The rest of the Sea looks to be cloud free.
Looking south to along the Mexican Riviera I can see that they have had a few scattered clouds pass over in the past 24 hours but in general mostly clear skies all along the coast until you get to the Gulf of Tehuantepec.
The southern shore of the Gulf of Tehuantepec has a big honk’n thunderbumper working there this morning. It extends well into Guatemala. The forecast for the Gulf continue to be for very moderate southerlies for the 3-day forecast period however it looks like it would be very uncomfortable to be on the water under this strong storm.
Looking out into the Eastern Pacific basin along the ITCZ/Monsoon trough I can see that the zone is not quite as active as it has been for the past week. There are still a lot of thunderbumper working along the zone but not quite as many.
That’s about it for our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where high pressure is bringing sunshine and warm weather to the entire west coast again today.
That being said the coast from the San Francisco bay area south to Mag Bay has a thick blanket of fog hugging the coast keeping the coast a bit cooler than the inland regions.
It does not look like this pattern will change for the west coast for at least a week.
So, looking over to the southwest where a low is moving out of Sonora and will move into New Mexico and Arizona today bringing thunderbumpers to the region later this afternoon and evening. The low will move east into Texas tomorrow with perhaps leave some lingering showers or thunderbumper in the Tucson area.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the northern Sea will continue to have moderate southerlies for the 3-day forecast period.
The central Sea (Santa Rosalia to Puerto Escondido) will continue to see moderate northerlies today. That being said I have been forecasting light to moderate northerlies for Concepción Bay for the past week and every day we have had light to moderate southerlies in the bay. The velosities have been spot on, just the directions a bit off.
The southern Sea moderate will also see moderate northerlies today
Tomorrow and Friday the moderate winds for the central and southern Sea will be east or southeast.
Today’s temperatures will be about like yesterday and be in the high 80s to the low 90s
