Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see the Sea of Cortez is pretty much clear this morning. There are some thunderbumpers working over to the east of Los Mochas this morning but nothing moving out into the Sea.
Looking south to the west coast of Mexico where there is a lot of thunderbumper activity inland from Cabo Corrienties south to Zihuatanejo this morning and many of these storms extend to the coast. Pretty much solid cloud cover all along the coast.
In our Tropical Kitchen this morning we have two items on the front burner. First we have newly formed tropical storm Douglas. He is forecast to remain a tropical storm and wander WNW over the next 4 to 5 days and end up well west and south of the cape.
The newest item in the kitchen is invest 97Echo. No real tracking data on this STORM yet. It is currently just a bunch of thunderbumpers located 240 miles SSW of Manzanillo. They are giving it a good chance of developing into our next tropical storm over the next couple of days.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where high pressure is heating up the west coast with afternoon temperatures in the 105-108 ranges in the Sacramento Valley.
In southern California just June Gloom along the coast with coastal temperatures in the mid to low 70s today.
Looking over to the SW where the strong high pressure will be at its strongest by the middle of the week. Temperatures around 110 in Tucson today and warmer in the lower deserts. Later in the week it will cool down as moisture in the form of clouds bring higher humidity and increasing STORM chances that will spread into the region from Mexico as a prelude to their monsoon season.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like the next 3 days the Sea will be continue to see these moderate SE winds in the afternoon.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The Northern Sea: the mid teens from the SE for the 3-day forecast period.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: moderate SE today and tomorrow and moderate SW on Wednesday.
The Baja side of the central Sea: the mid teens from the SE for the next three days.
Puerto Escondido: the mid teens today and the high teens Tuesday and Wednesday all from the SE.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, La Paz and the nearby islands. Light SW today then moderate SE for the next two days.
The East Cape: around 16 today from the SE, then light SE for the next two days.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan to Cabo Corrienties light SW winds for the 3-day forecast period.
South of the cape: Mostly moderate NW winds with the exception of Manzanillo which is forecast to have 27 tomorrow and 22 knot NW winds on Wednesday.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the skies are pretty much clear over the Sea of Cortez this morning.
Looking south to along the west coast of Mexico it looks like from around Cabo Corrienties south it is mostly overcast and there are thumpers working all along the coast as well as out in the Pacific all the way to Panama this morning.
In our Tropical Kitchen this morning we have not one but two areas a couple of hundred miles SW of Acapulco this morning that have potential for tropical development.
One was designated at 96E yesterday morning and the models are showing it becoming our next tropical STORM and working it’s way NW up the coast over the weekend and ending up SW of the cape mid next week.
The other has been given less of a chance of tropical development by the National Hurricane Center HOWEVER early models are showing it also becoming a named STORM about the same time.
These models are changing almost hourly so we should have a better picture what these two systems will do by tomorrow. Hopefully they will behave better than the last named storms. We’ll see?
Looking out into the Atlantic there are 3 tropical waves lined up crossing the Atlantic and one in the western Caribbean this morning. The one in the Caribbean is expected to crank up the winds in the Gulf of Papagayo with some stronger winds that could funnel through the Chivela pass into the Gulf of Tehuantepec.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where a system that has dropped down from the Gulf of Alaska and will be keeping Washington and Oregon wet all weekend.
In northern California it will be dry with the exception of some thunderbumpers working in the higher elevations of the Sierras. With high pressure off the west coast building so will the temperatures. By Monday the Sacramento valley will be seeing around 105 and Redding around 108.
In southern California it will also be warming up but only to the high 70s along the coast.
Looking now over to the SW where high pressure will be building and become the strongest by mid week. Although the afternoon temperatures on the lower deserts will reach 110 on Monday, the hottest days are expected Tuesday and Wednesday. This is just about the start of Arizona’s monsoon season so they should start to see some cooler temperatures by the end of next week.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the central Sea will see the strongest winds today and they will be in the high teens to the low 20s.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: the mid teens from the SE for the 3-day forecast period.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: around 17 today, then light SW for the next 2 days.
The Baja side of the central Sea: 18-21 today from the SE and then mid teens tomorrow from the SE and then light NE winds on Monday.
Puerto Escondido: around 20 today, then light southerlies for the next two days.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, La Paz and the nearby islands. light SE today, then light SW for the next two days.
The East Cape: around 14 today from the SE, light NE tomorrow and light SE again on Monday.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan: the low teens from the SW for the 3-day forecast period.
Puerto Vallarta: light NW breezes for the next 3 days.
Cabo Corrienties: light NW today then light southerlies for the next two days.
South of the cape there are two storms that will be working their way north so depending on how close to land they travel, from Zihuatanejo to Cabo Corrienties could see some stronger winds.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see the Sea of Cortez is pretty much free of any cloudiness this morning.
Looking south to the west coast of Mexico it is fairly clear to around Cabo Corrienties and from there south I can see considerable cloudiness along the coast with numerous thunderbumper working off shore.
Further south, all along the ITCZ/Monsoon trough, which is snaking around along 8N this morning, I can see solid thunderbumpers working out to around 130.
In our Tropical Kitchen this morning it looks like a Tropical Wave
that emerged from Central America is looking for a low to stimulate. The forecast is for a low to from over the weekend with the expectation that this will be our next tropical storm early next week.
Looking out into the Atlantic there are two Tropical Waves traversing the Atlantic this morning and one just emerging from the African Coast. There is also a wave that has moved through the Tehuantepec isthmus and is now well out in the Pacific west of Acapulco. This wave should pose no threat of development into anything tropical.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where at the top of this image I can see a 992 low that has dropped down from the Gulf of Alaska and is forecast to bring light rain to the Great Northwest and as far south as Crescent City and Eureka this weekend.
High pressure off the west coast will be keeping the rest of the west coast dry for the 3-day forecast period. Temperatures in the Sacramento valley will start to climb today and by Monday be around 104.
In southern California it will start to warm up also over the weekend with highs in the high 70s by Monday. A shallow marine layer along the coast will moderate temperatures.
Looking over to the SW where a weak area of low pressure passing through to the north will bring gusterly conditions to the SW today and over the weekend. Temperatures will also start to climb with highs around 106, 107 on tap for the weekend. Best chance for any rain will be late next week.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like the pattern for at least the next 3 days is for light to moderate southerly winds. Today should see the lightest winds, tomorrow a bit stronger and Sunday back to the very moderate winds.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: around 11 today from the SW and then the mid teens from the SE over the weekend.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: around 11 today then the mid teens over the weekend.
The Baja side of the central Sea: today around 15 from the east, tomorrow around 20 from the SE and on Sunday the mid teens from the SE.
Puerto Escondido: the mid teens from the SE for the 3-day forecast period.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, and the nearby islands. The low teens from the SW for the next 3 days.
La Paz: around 17 today from the SW, the light SE over the weekend.
The East Cape: light easterly today, the low teens from the SE tomorrow, and light NE on Sunday.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan: mid teens from the SW for the 3-day forecast period.
Puerto Vallarta: light NW winds for the next 3 days.
Cabo Corrienties: light SW winds for the next 3 days.
South of the cape mostly light SE winds for the 3-day forecast period.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that in general the skies are clear over the northern and central Sea of Cortez.
At the cape and south to around La Paz and the southern crossing there is broken cloud cover emanating from tropical storm Christina off to the west.
In our Tropical Kitchen this morning sister Christina has been plutoed to a tropical storm and a gradual spin down of the STORM is expected over the next 72 hours, and the official intensity forecast for Christina to become a post-tropical low later today and dissipate in about 3-4 days, if not sooner.
Over in the Atlantic there are two Tropical Waves in the mid Atlantic, on approaching Guinea and one moving through Central America this morning. You’d think that at least one of these will come hunting for a lonely low over here in the Pacific. We’ll see?
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where a couple of weak systems moving through the Great Northwest will be bringing light rain to Washington and Oregon for the next couple of day.
These systems will not bring any rain to northern California just cool it down a bit before heating up again about mid next week.
In southern California just dreary June Gloom with gusterly afternoons and morning fog.
Looking over to the southwest where a system moving through the Great Basin will give cause to some gusterly conditions in the desert southwest. This in turn will, along with the low humidity and high temperatures increase the fire danger in the region. Tucson will see 102 today. About mid week the temperatures will crank back up again.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence most of the Sea will be seeing light to moderate SE winds over the 3-day forecast period.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: the low teens from the SE
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: around 15 today from the SE and then light SW the next 2 days.
The Baja side of the central Sea: mid teens today and tomorrow and light easterlies on Tuesday.
Puerto Escondido: very moderate SE for the 3-day forecast period.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, La Paz and the nearby islands. The low teens from the SW for the next 3 days.
The East Cape: light SE today and tomorrow and lighter NE on Tuesday.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan south to Manzanillo it looks like the low teens from the NW for the 3-day forecast period.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the skies remain clear over the Sea of Cortez.
The cape area to a bit south of La Paz is overcast this morning from clouds from hurricane Christina. They should spread north a bit more during the day.
Looking over at the west coast of Mexico it is also overcast from around Manzanillo to almost Los Mochas. It doesn’t look like there are any thunderbumpers along the coast within this stretch. To the south of Manzanillo the coast is pretty much clear.
In our Tropical Kitchen this morning sister Christina continues to weaken and is now only a category one hurricane.
She is around 35 miles NW of the Socorro Islands and around 260 miles SW of the cape. She is forecast to continue to weaken and by tomorrow a tropical storm and within two days a remnant low.
Also in our Tropical Kitchen this morning we have two tropical waves
Transiting the Atlantic, one approaching Guinea and one just starting to
move through Nicaragua and western Panama. This wave will move inland
over Central America later tonight producing showers and thunderbumper
and emerge in the Eastern Pacific basin later tonight or sometime
tomorrow.
This might be a good point to do Tropical Wave 101.
Normally a tropical wave starts off as a sand storm in the Sahara Desert. Especially in the summer months there is a significant temperature gradient between the hot desert and the cooler waters along the Gulf of Guinea Coast. So this hot, dust and sand filled wind starts moving west and developing into a trough of low pressure. The wave, now bow shaped, is now being transported by the African Eastern Jet which moves east west across the Atlantic.
A new tropical wave departs western North Africa about every 2-4 days between April and November, with about 60-65 waves per year, on average.
In the Atlantic 85% of all their major hurricanes have their origins traceable to these African waves and about 60% of all tropical storm and cat 1-2 hurricanes are spawned by these waves.
Those that make it across the Atlantic and the Caribbean without tropical development normally cross Central America and end up in the Eastern Pacific basin where they looking for a lonely low to stimulate that is lurking in waters warmer than 80 degrees.
So endith Tropical Wave 101.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west
coast of America where the Great Northwest has a few weak systems
moving through that will bring light rain into western Washington and
Oregon today.
Northern California will continue to cool off as these systems pass to
the north with temperatures in the mid 80s down from the low 100s earlier
in the week.
Southern California just coastal fog extending well inland with
temperatures in the mid 70s for the 3-day forecast period.
Looking now over to the SW where a low passing through to the north
will bring cooler and drier conditions to the region today. Tucson will only
be around 102 this afternoon. Later in the week as high pressure
becomes reestablished across the desert a warming trend is likely.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the next three days we can expect to continue to see these moderate SE winds.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: light today, low teens for the next 2 days.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: around 17 today, 15 tomorrow and less than 10 on Monday.
The Baja side of the central Sea: 18-19 today and tomorrow and the low teens on Monday.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, and the nearby islands. light SW for the 3-day forecast period.
La Paz: light SE today and tomorrow and the low teens on Monday from the SW.
The East Cape: the low teens from the SE today and tomorrow and light NE on Monday.
The Mexican Riviera: Solid overcast south to Manzanillo today. Winds: Mazatlan to Cabo Corrienties: light SW today and then the low teens from the SW for the next two days.
South of the cape: mostly light SW for the 3-day forecast period.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see the skies remain clear over the Sea of Cortez this morning. Looking over to the west coast of the Baja peninsula I can see there is a fairly heavy fog bank hugging the coast from Turtle Bay north to central California this morning.
Looking now south to along the west coast of Mexico I can see that from around Cabo Corrienties south there has been showers and thunderbumpers during the night. There will mostly likely be thunderbumpers along the coast this afternoon in many locations.
In our Tropical Kitchen this morning Christina continues to challenge the computer models. Yesterday morning she had just intensified from a tropical storm to a category 3 hurricane and shortly after this broadcast she intensified to a category 4 hurricane with gusts to 155 mph. This morning as she approaches cooler waters she is forecast to start to wind down. By this afternoon, if she follows the models she should be a category one STORM and heading NW at around 7 knots. She should be a remnant low in a couple days SW of the cape and west of the Socorros. In the meantime the cape area is still not seeing any cloudiness from Christina. She could pass off to the west with just some lumpy seas around the cape. We’ll see.
There are 2 tropical waves in the mid Atlantic this morning and one in the western Caribbean. Another just left the African coast and is not yet shown on this morning’s Tropical Wave Chart.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America and the Great Northwest where a series of rather weak low will be moving through the region today and tomorrow bringing light rain to Washington and Oregon this morning.
The fronts moving through the Great Northwest will cool down northern California to the low 90s and then warming slightly over the weekend as the fronts pass to the east.
In southern California the only weather news is: Surfs Up! Otherwise just coastal fog and temperatures in the mid to low 70s.
Looking now over to the SW where the Tucson area could see a chance of a thunderbumper today. Temperatures in Tucson will be around 104 today. They will remain well above average into at least the weekend.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like the entire Sea will be looking at moderate SE winds for the 3-day forecast period.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: the low teens.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: the mid teens
The Baja side of the central Sea: the mid to high teens.
Puerto Escondido: high teens today and Sunday. Tomorrow low teens.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, La Paz and the nearby islands. Low teens today. Light over the weekend.
The East Cape: the low to mid teens today and the weekend.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan to Puerto Vallarta: light SW for the 3-day forecast period.
Cabo Corrienties: the low teens today from the SE and light SW over the weekend.
South of the cape: mostly light SW breezes over the next 3 days.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the Sea of Cortez remains pretty much cloud free this morning.
Over on the west coast of the Baja peninsula fog again hugs the coast from around Pt. San Quinten to the border. It’s a bit foggy out at Cedros Island but inside the bay it is just spotty.
Looking now to the west coast of Mexico where there is a thunderbumper working over the Puerto Vallarta area this morning. A bit further south from around Manzanillo south to Acapulco it is overcast with scattered showers and thunderbumpers working all along the coast.
In our Tropical Kitchen this morning we have our third named tropical STORM of the season. Christina has quickly developed from a category one yesterday morning to a category 3 hurricane this morning. With sustained winds of 105 knots and gusting to 130. This morning she was 210 miles SW of Manzanillo and moving in a northwesterly direction at around 7 knots. If she continues to conform to the models she will continue in this direction and by this weekend she should be several hundred miles SW of the cape and diminishing rapidly. I’d expect that by Saturday the southern Sea will start to see some cloudiness and perhaps a shower over the weekend. We’ll see?
On the custom Tropical Wave chart on the Sonrisanet website you can see three tropical waves crossing the Atlantic this morning. ( a little commercial for the website this morning.) One has just left the Saharan Desert on the African coast, one is in the mid Atlantic, one is entering the western Caribbean. Yesterday morning a wave was approaching the area around Panama. This has disappeared in the Central American jungles for now.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where there will be several lows moving in from the Pacific. The first one today will bring a chance of showers to western Washington and then move into eastern Washington tomorrow bringing a chance of thunderbumper to the region through the weekend.
In northern California they will see cooler temperatures through tomorrow and then a slight warming trend over the weekend. The trough moving through to the north will have little affect on the weather in the north state.
In southern California June Gloom prevails with temperatures in the mid 70s and the marine layer extending almost to the mountain before retreating to almost the coast by the afternoons.
Looking now over to the southwest where increasing moisture will bring a slight chance of some mountain thunderbumpers today and a better chance tomorrow. Temperatures in the Tucson area will remain in the 105 ranges for the 3-day forecast period.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like in general the Sea will continue to see these moderate southerlies today and tomorrow and a bit brisk in the central Sea on Saturday.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The Northern Sea: the low teens from the SE for the 3-day forecast period.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: light SW today, light SE tomorrow and on Saturday around 18 from the SE.
The Baja side of the central Sea: light NE today, moderate SE tomorrow and on Saturday around 20 from the SE.
Puerto Escondido: light SE today and then 17-19 from the SE on Friday and Saturday.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, and the nearby islands. Light SW today, low teens tomorrow from the SW and on Saturday light SE.
La Paz: light SW today and tomorrow and on Saturday the low teens from the SE.
The East Cape: all from the SE. Today 10, tomorrow 14 and Saturday 16.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan to Puerto Vallarta light SW for the 3-day forecast period.
Cabo Corrienties: light SE today, around 14 tomorrow from the SE and on Saturday light SW
South of the cape mostly moderate SW winds with afternoon thunderbumpers forecast from Manzanillo south to Acapulco for the next 3 days.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the Sea of Cortez is pretty much free on any clouds this morning. Perhaps a few pockets of fog here and there. Looking at NOAA’s experimental fog seeing satellite and it looks like the fog bank along the northern portion of the Baja peninsula is off shore a ways this morning with only spotty fog along the coast from Turtle Bay north.
Looking now over to the west coast of Mexico where from Cabo Corrienties south there are several rather large thunderbumpers working along the coast all the way to Acapulco this morning.
In our Tropical Kitchen sister Christina was upgraded to a category one hurricane status early this morning with sustained winds of 65 knots and gusts to 80. She is currently around 230 miles SW of Manzanillo and traveling in a northwesterly direction at around 5 mph.
She is forecast to stay as a category one STORM through Friday and then diminish to a tropical storm over the weekend SW of the cape. If she continues to behave in accordance with the computer models there should be no danger to interests on land. We’ll see?
There are two tropical waves transiting the Atlantic this morning and one just to the east of Central America. This wave will be entering the Eastern Pacific basin probably tomorrow looking for a lonely low to stimulate. The dance floor may be empty as Christina will have pulled most of the moisture out of the region. We’ll see?
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where a couple of weak systems will be moving through the Great Northwest over the next couple of days bringing a good chance of light showers to the Great Northwest south to the California/Oregon border later in the week.
Things are still on track for northern California to cool down through Friday with temperatures down into the 80s. Temperatures will warm back up into the 90s over the weekend though. The systems moving through to the north will bring winds and thus enhance the fire concerns for the rest of the week.
In southern California the weather to the north will not affect their June Gloom. San Diego will see temperatures in the low 70s into the weekend with fog encroaching well inland.
Looking now over to the SW where not much will change over the 3-day forecast period with temperatures in the Tucson area in the 104-105 ranges in the afternoons. Later in the week there could be some thunderbumper action in the higher elevations.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like our very moderate SE winds will continue in the Sea for the 3-day forecast period and most likely into the weekend.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: the low teens from the SE for the 3-day forecast period.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: light SW today, light SE tomorrow and light SW again on Friday.
The Baja side of the central Sea: mid teens from the east today, mid teens from the SE tomorrow and the low teens from the NE on Friday.
Puerto Escondido: the low teens from the SE for the next 3 days.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, La Paz and the nearby islands. Light SE today, mid teens tomorrow from the SW then the low teens from the SW on Friday.
The East Cape: light NE today, light SW tomorrow and on Friday the low teens from the SE.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan, the low teens from the SW for the next 3 days.
Puerto Vallarta to Cabo Corrienties: light NW today, light SW tomorrow and Friday.
South of the cape: Mostly light to moderate SE winds. Keeping in mine that sister Christina is only 250 miles to the west.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the Sea of Cortez is pretty much free of any clouds with the exception of possible patches of fog here and there. NOAA’s experimental Fog Seeing satellite is showing a fairly heavy fog bank hugging the outside of the Baja peninsula from the border to Turtle Bay, along the Laguna area and into Scammons Lagoon.
Looking now south to the west coast of Mexico where there is fairly heavy thunderbumper activity all along the coast from Cabo Corrienties south to Guatemala this morning.
As advertized Invest 94 echo has become our latest tropical STORM. Her name is Christina. She is now about 250 miles SW of Zihuatanejo this morning moving in a northwesterly direction. She is forecast to become a hurricane sometime tomorrow and continue on this northwesterly direction.
Long ranges models has her as a cat 1 hurricane from tomorrow through the end of the week then back to a tropical storm over the weekend. The models show her ending up well southwest of the cape. This is sort of a normal pattern for early season storms. If she performs as expected it should pose no threat to interests in Baja or the west coast of Mexico. We’ll see?
Also in our Tropical Kitchen this morning we have three Tropical Waves moving across the Atlantic. Two are still in the Atlantic and the other is getting ready to move across the Yucatan today.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where it will continue to be hot and dry all along the west coast for the next couple of day. Sacramento set a new high yesterday of 107.
A couple of lows will make inroads into the high pressure along the coast and cool things off a bit then later in the week a stronger low will move through the Great Northwest Friday and this will drop the temperatures in northern California significantly. Down from 109 today in Sacramento to around 89 by his weekend.
These lows moving through the Great Northwest will have no effect on southern California. June Gloom will prevail with fairly heavy coastal fog extending inland quite a ways. This afternoon San Diego will warm up to the mid 70s.
Looking now over to the southwest where hot and dry remain in their forecast. Tucson will see 105 this afternoon. Not much will change over the 3-day forecast period.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like these light to moderate southerlies will continue for at least the next 3 days.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: Light to moderate SE winds for the 3-day forecast period.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: mostly light SW wind for the next 3 days.
The Baja side of the central Sea: the mid teens from the east or SE for the 3-day forecast period.
Puerto Escondido: the low teens from the SE for the next 3 days.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, La Paz and the nearby islands. Light SW breezes for the 3-day forecast period.
The East Cape: light SE for the next 3 days.
The Sonoran passage south from Guaymas to Mazatlan it looks like the mid teens from the SW for the 3-day forecast period.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan, the low teens from the SW for the next 3 days.
Puerto Vallarta to Cabo Corrienties: light NW for the next 2 days then light SW for Thursday.
South of the cape the low to mid teens from the SE for the next 3 days.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the skies looks clear over the Sea of Cortez this morning.
Looking over to the west coast of the Baja peninsula where NOAA’s experimental fog seeing satellite is showing a fairly heavy fog bank hugging the coast from just south of San Francisco bay all the way south to the Laguna area south of Turtle Bay this morning.
Looking now over to the west coast of Mexico where from around Cabo Corrienties south there is overcast along the coast, mostly remnant clouds from thunderbumpers that have been working along the coast for the past 24 hours.
In our Tropical Kitchen this morning on the back burner we have invest 94 echo which is around 144 miles SW of Acapulco this morning.
The first forecast models show three tracks moving due west, one track moving NE into the Sea of Cortez and one track moving NE paralleling the west coast of Mexico. It looks like the have covered all the bases. Elmer Fudd could have said about the same thing. “It’s gonna go somewhere.” Perhaps tomorrow the models will come to some consensus. One thing that they did agree on was this invest will develop into our next tropical STORM within the next 5 days.
Looking over into the Atlantic we have three Tropical Waves transiting the Atlantic this morning. One left the Saharan Desert yesterday, one is around the mid Atlantic and the other is approaching the coast of Vensuela and portions of the SE Caribbean this morning.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where hot and dry continue to be the headliners. You can add extreme fire danger to that forecast.
In northern California hot temperatures will continue under high pressure. Triple digit heat is expected across the Sacramento Valley again today with highs ranging from 102-108.
A modest cooling trend will begin tomorrow as a broad upper trough moves over the west coast, but more significant cooling will wait until mid-week.
In southern California it will be another hot day well inland from the coast. June Gloom hugs the coast. Temperatures in San Diego today will be in the mid 70s.
Looking now over to the southwest where high pressure over northern Mexico will persist through the 3-day forecast period and keep above normal seasonal normal temperatures in place. Late in the week some moisture will move in, but not enough to produce rainfall.
In the National Weather Service office in Tucson this morning a forecaster used the term “Bubbly cloud cover”. I’m thinking it won’t be long before they start using “fluffys and whispys”.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like these moderate southerlies will be with us for the 3-day forecast period.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: the mid teens from the SE for the next three days.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: the low teens from the SE for the 3-day forecast period.
The Baja side of the central Sea: the mid teens from the east or SE for the next three days.
Puerto Escondido: the low teens from the SE for the 3-day forecast period.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, La Paz and the nearby islands. The very low teens from the SW for the next three days.
East Cape: light NE today, light SE tomorrow and light NE on Wednesday.
The Sonoran passage south from Guaymas to Mazatlan: it looks like the mid teens from the SW for the next 3 days.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan to Cabo Corrienties the low teens from the SW for the 3-day forecast period.
South of the cape: the general direction will be the SE. the velocity will depend on what happens with Invest 94E. For sure they will be getting a significant amount of rain along the coast.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that there are now clouds in the Sea of Cortez this morning. There may be pockets of fog here and there. Due point readings in many locations were in the 70s almost matching the Temperature along with humidity in the 80s in many locations.
Looking south along the west coast of Mexico the coast is clear to around Cabo Corrienties. From there south to Central America there is fairly heavy thunderbumper activity all along the coast.
In out Tropical Kitchen this morning we have Invest 94E. It popped up early yesterday morning and has been slowly developing ever since. The National Hurricane Center is giving it an 80% chance of becoming our next named STORM within the next 5 days. It’s fairly close to Acapulco this morning, less than 100 miles and they can expect to see heavy rains as the system builds. None of the normal sources have posted any forecast tracks yet. Perhaps because the last two storms fooled the computers somewhat badly. Probably tomorrow we should see some tracking graphics.
Out the Atlantic there are three Tropical Waves on the march. One just left the coast of Africa, one is mid Atlantic and the other is approaching Guinea this morning, all pretty much marching along the ITCZ/Monsoon trough which is around 7N this morning.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where high pressure off the west coast continues to bring near heat record to the west coast. Portland will see 80 today. Sacramento 105 and Redding 109.
In southern California no heat wave there with temperatures in the 70s and the marine layer extending well inland into the late mornings. June Gloom!
Looking over to the SW where they will see just a slight dip in the temperatures today. Tucson will still see 105 today. From the Mojave Desert to the Colorado River Valley temperatures will be in the 108-114 ranges today.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on his side of the Fence with the exception of the center of the northern crossing today will see moderate southerlies followed be several days of moderate southerlies.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: light SE today, the mid teens from the SE the next two days.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: the low teens today and then light southerlies for the next two days.
The Baja side of the central Sea: the mid teens from the SE for the 3-day forecast period.
Puerto Escondido: the mid teens from the SE today and the low teens from the SE for the next two.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, La Paz and the nearby islands. Light to moderate Southerlies for the 3-day forecast period. The low teens.
The Sonoran passage south from Guaymas to Mazatlan it looks like the mid teens from the SE for the 3-day forecast period.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan, the low teens from the SW for the 3-day forecast period.
Puerto Vallarta to Cabo Corrienties: light NW for the 3-day forecast period.
South of the cape: light SE today and tomorrow then very possibly a STORM will be moving up the coast bringing much stronger winds. I’ll have a better picture tomorrow.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the skies look clear over the Sea of Cortez this morning. NOAA’s experimental fog seeing satellite is showing a rather thick fog bank hugging the outside of the Baja peninsula from around Pt. San Quinten south to Mag Bay. Especially heavy in Turtle Bay and Scammons Lagoon. It’s also showing pockets of fog or low clouds in the central and southern Sea this morning.
Looking south to the west coast of Mexico where the coast is clear to around Puerto Vallarta to Cabo Corrienties where there has been some thunderbumper activity during the night however this morning there are just some remnant clouds left in the area. There is an 80% chance of thunderbumpers from around Manzanillo south for this afternoon.
From Cabo Corrienties south it is overcast along the coast with scattered thunderbumpers working along the coast from around Zihuatanejo south to Acapulco this morning.
We do have something in our Tropical Kitchen this morning.
This just arrived a few minutes ago.
One of those tropical waves has emerged from the Central American jungles this morning into the Eastern Pacific. It looks like it caught up with a low several hundred miles SW of Acapulco this am. The NHC is giving this a 40% chance of development through the next 5 days.
Off to the east there are two Tropical Waves traversing the Atlantic this morning. One is about mid Atlantic and the other is approaching Guinea this morning. The last two waves that starting moving inland in this area never emerged in the Pacific. This wave is moving a bit to the north of the ITCZ/Monsoon trough so it could a better chance of making it through. We’ll see?
Well, that’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where Yesterday’s forecast is today’s forecast. With strong high pressure off the west coast the entire west coast will remain dry and hot. Sacramento will be looking at 105 temperatures over the weekend.
Southern California… hoo humm! Just June Gloom at least into mid next week. Temperatures in the 70s. It will continue to be a bit gusterly in the deserts and mountains in the late afternoons and evenings.
Looking now over to the southwest where the temperatures in the 105 ranges will be seen today from the Mojave deserts to the lower deserts of Arizona. Needles 108-114, Death Valley 116-120. Tucson will see 105 today. Not much change is expected over the weekend.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the southern winds will continue for the 3-day forecast period, the strongest today.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: low teens from the SE for the next 3 days.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: mid teens from the SE today and tomorrow and light SE on Monday.
The Baja side of the central Sea: high teens today, mid teens tomorrow and low teens on Monday all from the SE.
Puerto Escondido: Same pattern.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, and the nearby islands. Around 14 today from the SW, around 12 Sunday and Monday from the SW.
La Paz: light SW for the 3-day forecast period.
East Cape: light SE today and tomorrow and light NE on Monday.
The Sonoran passage south from Guaymas to Mazatlan: Mostly mid teens from the SW for the 3-day forecast period.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan, the low teens from the SW for the next three days.
Puerto Vallarta to Cabo Corrienties: light SW today then light NW for the next two days.
South of the cape mostly light SE breezes.
Temperature-wise, here in the cove for the first 6 days of June 4 of the 6 days were 100 or over. This is very unusual. So far this month we are averaging 3 degrees above a normal year. Normally we will see perhaps one maybe two days a month over 100 in the summer months and September. This weekend the temperatures will be in the high 90s, but next weeks forecast brings back the low 100s again.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the Sea of Cortez is pretty much cloud free this morning. There could be pockets of morning fog in some locations though.
Looking south along the west coast of Mexico the coast has light overcast from around Puerto Vallarta south. There has been a lot of thunderbumper activity just inland along this same stretch and south into Central America this morning.
There is nothing cooking in our Tropical Kitchen this morning. There are three Tropical Waves in the Atlantic this morning. One just left the Saharan Desert and is just entering the Atlantic. The other two are just entering the western Caribbean. Two earlier waves this week have not emerged from the jungles of Central America …yet.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where high pressure off the west coast is continuing to bring record or near record temperatures to the west coast. Portland today will be around 80. Sacramento and the upper Sacramento valley in the 105-109 ranges.
Southern California has its typical June Gloom with temperatures in the mid 70s. The marine layer will extend inland into the late morning hours.
Looking over to the SW where strong high pressure over Northern Mexico will maintain well above normal temperatures and completely dry condition into at least the middle of next week. Temperatures in Tucson today around 105, Yuma 109, Needles 109-113 today. Weak disturbances moving through to the north will lead to some fluctuations in Temperature with a slight cooling this weekend but the hot returns next week.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like most locations in the Sea will be seeing moderate and possibly strong southerlies over the 3-day forecast period.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period. The northern Sea: the low teens from the SE for the next 3 days.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: the low to mid teens for the 3-day forecast period.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: the mid to high teens from the SE for the next 3 days.
Puerto Escondido: mid teens from the SE for the 3-day forecast period.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, and the nearby islands. The low teens from the SW for the next 3 days.
La Paz: around 12 today from the NW, then 15-17 from the NW for the next two days.
East Cape: light SE today and tomorrow and light NE on Sunday.
The Sonoran passage south from Guaymas to Mazatlan: it looks like the high teens from the SW for the 3-day forecast period.
Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan, 13-14 from the SW for the next 3 days.
Puerto Vallarta: light NW for the same period.
Cabo Corrienties: same thing light NW for the 3-day forecast period.
South of the cape: mostly light to moderate SE breezes.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the Sea of Cortez is pretty much free of any clouds. This image is showing what could be some light morning fluffys here and there though.
Looking south to along the west coast of Mexico where the coast is clear to Cabo Corrienties then there is some coastal overcast along the coast and inland a ways to around Acapulco where there is a nice thunderbumper working this morning.
This Tehuantepec is overcast this morning but no thumpers working in the Gulf.
Tropical Depression Boris, now a just a tropical low has emerged on the Caribbean coast. In passing across Mexico it was reported to have been dumping 5 inches an hour. That’s a bunch of water in a hurry.
There is nothing cooking in our Tropical Kitchen this morning and nothing forecast for the next 48 hours.
Looking out into the Atlantic I can see one Tropical Wave about the mid Atlantic. In the past 24 hours there have been 3 Tropical Waves disappear in the tropical jungles of Central America. None have emerged yet into the Eastern Pacific basin.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where high pressure off the west coast continues to keep the entire west coast hot and dry. Portland will see 80 this afternoon, Sacramento 105, Redding 107.
In southern California June Gloom with morning fog extending well inland and daytime highs in the mid 70s.
Looking over to the southwest where temperatures in the lower deserts will be in the 111-115 ranges. Tucson 104 today, Yuma 110.
A weak system moving through the Great Basin today will drop the temperatures a couple of degrees and that’s about it except for some breeziness as the system passed today.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like our moderate winds will have a southern flavor into the weekend.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: the low teens today from the NE and then the low teens from the SE for the next two days.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: light westerlies today, light SE tomorrow and then on Saturday the mid teens from the SE.
The Baja side of the central Sea: the low teens today from the NE then around 16 tomorrow and 19 on Saturday both from the SE.
Puerto Escondido: the mid teens from the SE for the 3-day forecast period.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, La Paz and the nearby islands. Around 16 today from the SW, and around 13 from the SW for the next two days.
East Cape: light SE today and tomorrow and light NE on Saturday.
The Sonoran passage south from Guaymas to Mazatlan: the mid teens mostly from the SW for the next 3 days.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan 12-15 from the SW for the 3-day forecast period.
Puerto Vallarta to Cabo Corrienties: the low teens from the NW for the next 3 days.
South of the cape mostly light to moderate SE winds for the 3-day forecast period.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I expected to see some remnants of some thunderbumper activity in the Sea from last night but the skies were clear in the Sea of Cortez. It looks like there just too much wind.
Looking south along the west coast of America it looks like the skies are also clear to around Zihuatanejo this morning. Further south there are numerous thunderbumpers working along the coast all the way to San Salvador this morning. Adding to the mix are the remnants of tropical storm Boris which I’ll now discuss.
In our Tropical Kitchen this morning Tropical Depression 3 echo briefly become a tropical storm yesterday morning before making land fall fairly close to the Gulf of Tehuantepec. This morning Tropical Depression Boris is working its way across the Tehuantepec isthmus and expected to arrive in the Caribbean about this time tomorrow as a post tropical depression low .
In the meantime it will be dropping torrential amounts of rain to the region.
Looking out into the Atlantic only one Tropical Wave is visible this morning the other two that were on the map yesterday have disappeared while crossing Central America. They could emerge in the Pacific. We’ll see?
No tropical storm development is forecast for the next 48 hours but if one of those Tropical Waves emerges into the Pacific it will be looking for a lonely low to stimulate.
Not a lot going on along the ITCZ/Monsoon trough this morning with most of the convection close to the coast of Central America. The zone is snaking along 7N this morning.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where high pressure parked off the west coast is keeping the west coast dry and hot. Portland will be in the 80s this week.
In northern California Sacramento the low 100s, Redding will be seeing around 107 for the remainder of the week
In southern California typical June Gloom with fog extending inland to the late mornings. Temperatures in the mid 70s are forecast for the rest of the week
Looking over to the SW where Yuma will see around 111-115 for the rest of the week. Tucson much cooler only 108 today. Typically the lower deserts will be seeing 109-111 for the rest of the week.
That’s what is going in to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like the central Sea will calm down and the entire Sea will be seeing very moderate winds today, a tad more tomorrow and in the high teens on Friday into the weekend.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: the low teens from the SE for the 3-day forecast period.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: light SW today and tomorrow and around 13 from the SE on Friday.
The Baja side of the central Sea: light NE today, around 13 tomorrow from the NE and then on Friday around 18 from the SE.
Puerto Escondido: the low teens from the Se for the next 3 days.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, La Paz and the nearby islands. The low teens from the SW for the 3-day forecast period.
The East Cape: light SE today and tomorrow and light NE on Friday.
The Sonoran passage south from Guaymas to Mazatlan: the mid teens from the SW for the 3-day forecast period.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan: the mid to low teens for the next 3 days.
Puerto Vallarta to Cabo Corrienties: light SW today, then light NW for the next two days.
South of the cape. Manzanillo just moderate NW winds but south there is a Tropical Depression moving across Chiapas today. In Salina Cruz on the north coast of the Tehuantepec the winds are now less than 10 however they are getting heavy rain.
Temperature-wise the Sea will cool off a bit today with most locations see sub 100 degrees highs. Tomorrow and into the weekend the temperatures will crawl back up again into the low 100s.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see a thin band of whispys passing over the northern Sea. This is the tail end of a larger band of clouds passing over Arizona this morning. it will pass to the east later this morning.
The rest of the Sea is pretty much free and any cloudiness.
Looking south along the west coast of Mexico where it is clear to around Zihuatanejo then fairly heavy thunderbumper activity along the coast all the way to Costa Rica this morning.
In our Tropical Kitchen this morning we have Tropical Depression 3 echo and it still has chance of becoming a tropical storm before it moves into the Gulf to Tehuantepec. It is currently less than 100 miles west of the Gulf. The current forecast has it moving into the Gulf or just a bit to the north of the Gulf later today and then tracking across mainland Mexico and exiting around Vera Cruz in around 72 hours.
They are expecting torrential rain along the west coast of Mexico and the mountainous terrain along the track. Along with the rain, flash flooding and always the potential for life-threatening mud slides.
Out in the Atlantic there is a Tropical Wave that just left the coast of Africa and is around 35W this morning. There are two more in the western Caribbean this morning. The will be following the ITCZ/Monsoon trough, which is around 8N this morning, through Central America today.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where a weak front will be moving through NW Washington this morning and will bring the chance of some showers to the Cascades today.
High pressure off the west coast will be keeping the rest of the west coast very warm and dry for the 3-day forecast period. Sacramento will be seeing temperatures reach the century mark by this weekend and Redding is already seeing 100 degree temperatures in the afternoons.
In southern California seasonally warm early June weather is expected to continue this week with only minor fluctuations in the marine layer and associated clouds. Gusterly winds will develop late each day in the mountains and deserts and continue through late evening.
Looking over to the southwest where it is hot. Tucson will see 107 for the next couple of days. They are looking at record or near record highs today and again tomorrow and Thursday. A weak system moving through the Great Basin will knock a few degrees off the highs later in the week.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like most of the northern and central see will see strong NW wind today then the Sea should see very moderate southerlies for the next two days.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: around 15 today from the NW. 13 tomorrow from the NE and on Thursday light SE.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: strong to 30 today from the NW and then light E or SE for the next two days.
The Baja side of the central Sea: around 26 today from the NW, light NE tomorrow and light SE on Thursday.
Puerto Escondido: around 19 today from the NE then 12-14 from the SE for the next two days.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, La Paz and the nearby islands. Light NW today then 14-15 knots from the SW for the next two days.
The East Cape: just light SW for the 3-day forecast period.
The Sonoran passage south from Guaymas to Mazatlan mid teens from the NW today and the mid teens from the SW for the next two.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan: light westerlies today, then light SW for the next two.
Puerto Vallarta to Cabo Corrienties: light westerlies today then light SW for the next two days.
South of the cape from Manzanillo south sort of depending on the STORM the winds won’t be that great but it will be getting serious wet along the coast and the coastal mountains.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see the skies are clear over the Sea of Cortez this morning.
Looking south to along the west coast of Mexico the skies are also clear along the coast to just a bit south of Zihuatanejo this morning. From there south to El Salvador there is heavy thunderbumper activity all along the coast and several hundred miles to the west, out into the Pacific.
In our Tropical Kitchen this morning invest 93 Echo is cranking up with increased winds, showers and thunderbumper activity. The EarthWind Map is showing a nice swirl of the invest’s winds SW of the Gulf of Tehuantepec this morning. The National Hurricane Center is forecasting the invest will soon from a topical depression, most likely a little later today.
They have already mentioned in their advisories that as Boris (the next tropical storm name on the list) moves NW along the west coast of Mexico there is a strong potential for life-threatening flash floods and mud slides.
Looking out along the ITCZ/Monsoon trough which is around 6N today, I can see that most of the convection is close to the Central American coast and not much is going on to the west this morning.
That’s that is going in out hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where in the Great Northwest a weak front moving through the region will only impact the Cascades with possible showers today.
In northern California a weak low pressure system will linger along the coast through mid-week. The valleys will remain dry but the Sierras will see afternoon thunderbumpers today and tomorrow. Temperatures are starting to crank up in northern California with the Sacramento area seeing the high 90s today and Redding already seeing 100 degree afternoons.
In southern California that low off the coast will have little effect on the southland today. It will remain dry and typical June Gloom with fog extending inland until late mornings. The mountains and deserts will be a bit gusterly.
Looking now over to the southwest where it will be hot and dry in the Tucson area with near record highs possible though tomorrow. A system moving through the Great Basin will knock a few degrees off the daytime highs and bring breezy conditions at times later in the week. The lower deserts will be seeing temperatures in the 110-112 ranges today and tomorrow with today being the hottest day.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the northern Sea is forecast to have moderate NW winds for the 3-day forecast period. The central Sea is forecast to have strong NW winds for today and tomorrow and then moderate winds for the rest of the week. The southern Sea, in general moderate SW winds for the 3-day forecast period.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: light today from the NE. Tomorrow moderate NW and on Wednesday moderate NE winds.
The central Sea: high teens, low 20s from the NW today, mid 20 from the NW tomorrow and moderate NE on Wednesday.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, and the nearby islands. Eight NW today and tomorrow and the low teens on Wednesday from the SW.
La Paz light W today, light SE tomorrow and Wednesday.
The Sonoran passage south from Guaymas to Mazatlan in general mid to high teens from the NW for the 3-day forecast period.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan the mid teens from the SW for the 3-day forecast period.
Puerto Vallarta to Cabo Corrienties: low teens from the NW for the next 3 days.
South of the cape: light to moderate SW breezes for the 3-day forecast period.

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the Sea of Cortez is pretty much free of any cloudiness.
Looking south now to the west coast of Mexico where the skies are clear to around Acapulco and south into Central America this morning. A lot of this cloudiness is coming from the low off the coast which has been labeled Invest 93 Echo

So we have In out Tropical Kitchen this morning Invest 93E which is about 300 miles SW of Puerto Angel actually right now pretty much due west of the Gulf of Tehuantepec. It has a 70% chance of developing into a tropical STORM in the next 48 hours and a 90% chance within the next 5 days. It will be named Boris.
There are two Tropical Waves crossing the Atlantic this morning and two crossing Central America this morning.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west
coast of America where not much exciting is happening. The entire west coast will continue to be warm and dry for the weekend and into the first part of next week.
Over in the southwest it will be hot and dry with record highs possible today through Tuesday, especially tomorrow. Temperatures in the middle 100s for most of next week.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like today the Sea will continue to have these moderate winds. The first part of next week, Monday and Tuesday the central Sea is forecast to have strong NW winds.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: light NE today and tomorrow and around 15 on Tuesday.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: around 19 today from the NW, 24NW tomorrow and the high 20s on Tuesday from the NW.
The Baja side of the central Sea: around 15 today NE, then 19-23 from the NW on Monday and Tuesday.
Puerto Escondido: low teens today and tomorrow from the NE and around 18 on Tuesday from the NE.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, and the nearby islands. Light NE today and light NW for the next two days.
La Paz : light NW today, around 12 tomorrow from the west and on Tuesday light SW.
The East Cape: light NW today and tomorrow and light SW on Tuesday.
The Sonoran passage south from Guaymas to Mazatlan, mostly the mid to the high teens from the NW for the 3-day forecast period.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan, around 12 from the SW today and tomorrow and a tad more on Tuesday.
Puerto Vallarta to Cabo Corrienties: the low teens from the NW for the 3-day forecast period.
South of the cape: light to moderate SW breezes for the next 3 days. That being said there will be a STORM moving along the coast bringing heavy rain probably starting tomorrow.
