Hey folks,
Here's my first forecast video for autumn 2012:
Link
Long range models generally painting a picture for rather a cool autumn at the moment, though very early days.
BTW, if you stick around the end theres a little sneak peak at winter 12/13 - JFF
Next months update should see the global long range models getting a better handle on where things are going for autumn 2012.

El Nino For 2012/2013
Hi all,
The Australian Weather Bureau has said that El Nino is coming from October 2012 lasting through 2012/2013;

I predicted back in February that we'd have an El Nino in the coming winter. You can see my forecast from February here;

You can also see the subsequent video update I did in April on this page.
I'll get another done later this month to see where we stand, but right now it does certainly look like El Nino's coming.

NAO Forecast For Winter 2012/2013
Hello all,
I'm a British based amateur weather forecaster.
I've recently made an NAO Forecast for winter 2012/2013 based *just* on sea surface temperature anomalies in the Atlantic Ocean during May 2012 - This methodology has been widely used by the UK Met Office for several years (though they have now stopped making public their long range forecasts)
Anyway, I thought you might like to see my forecast for the NAO in winter 2012/2013:
Link
I should just warn you, its a video forecast and its quite a long video, so a comfy chair and a cup of tea (hey I am British ) is a must while watching this.
Regards
Gavin
