Flurries starting to arrive, along with a rise of the NE wind, up to Gale Force over the weekend from the north, as of this moment not a great of snow to be dumped, temp -6C and certainly to rise till the wind shifts to south sometime at the first of the new week.

Fisheries news pretty quiet, weather keeping boats at home, when a weather window appears the fleet to take advantage. A few boats still eggin, but some have caught their quota and gone to mark...

The Artic Vortex they were talking about is making an appearance, as daylight get established the harbour is giving up some 'sea smoke', will be sky high in very short order. The time is -12C and 20-25KPH from the west giving a wind chill near the =20C, not much improvement on temp today and tomorrow some blowing snow and cold temps. The cold will be around till the first of the new week and temps looking to be on the double digits on the plus side and possible rain...

A blanket of snow over night, plough has gone by the house to remove the new cover. The wind calm, temp at the freezing mark, not too much one way or the other till this afternoon and the temp gradually to get very cold. There is possible more snow over the next little while and Saturday was saying around 20cm, at the moment down to 10cm, another system tracking this way and extreme cold for a day or so and then rain next week.

A hard to believe that the...

Harbour unusually, off late, calm this morning, not enough draft to move the flag around, overcast, -5C,high around the freezing point. The next few days the temp to go down on the minus side, next week temps rebound to the plus side for the daily highs.

Scallop quota near getting landed, might get the last few days of the week before they shut down and see if there are any of the quota still in the water. Price still remains very good, no trouble getting...

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 9/16

The wind relented, a bit, NNW 20-25KPH, blew most of the night, snow coming all night, don't where you could to get the measurement it was in the air until it found an obstruction to fetch it up. The temp -3C will hover around that point for the day and then go does this afternoon, a couple of cold days in the forecast and possible more snow.

The ferry cancelled the final two trips yesterday, at noon my wind gauge had a reading of 90KPH and after that rea...
