Looking across the harbour this morning before daylight was a WOW flat calm sun making an appearance behind Ross Island, tide up rafts of ducks just taking in the new day. Temp -3C heading towards the plus side over the holidays. Very little breeze in the offing.
Got a good morning in the woods yesterday, only managed to get half of my trees hung up. Still getting the road into the stand cut out should be a bit better today. Will go in for the morning then Xmas chores this afternoon.
See one boat going up in the harbour with a few traps coming home. That is the first that I have seen, probably a few more will make the journey over the next couple of weeks.
Rob has a guest overnight, Emily is awaiting a visit from her friend from Fredericton she met this past summer. He is making the effort coming on one boat and back on the next one of those long distance relationships - how could you beat it.
