Clear, calm with a slight draft from south, temp 15C. Looking for overcast and thundershowers this PM.

First day of summer was a corker, could feel the difference in the air, beautiful sun all day. Finally got my potatoes in the ground, will be touch and go if they produce before the frost gets them, need around 90 days to harvest.

Lots of Lupins in bloom now, but this year is down in quantity from past years. They probably go in cycles like most things in nature.

One of the fisherman reported a single Orca when lobster fishing this week. The whale put on quite a show with breaching and having a grand time. They are rare in this part of the world with the odd sighting over the past few years.

Glad you're enjoying the weather! What variety of potatoes do you plant?
