A bit of haze again this morning, no clouds, a draft SW will be 25-30KPH by this afternoon, temp 16C, again weatherman suggesting we will not make it to the 20's, must take issue once again, never the less a nice day in the offing. Still says similar conditions till Sunday when a shower is in the forecast.

Trip to St. John with Donna's dad, went well, not too much time waiting in the clinic, managed to help out COSTCO with a visit. Traffic fairly heavy coming and going on the boat, lots of young people getting prepared for school on the run, traffic cycle will change in the very near future once school reconvenes.

Managed a moment with Rob, at his place of work, he is certainly the baby of the crowd, things appear to be going well, with lots of work at the shop. Emily getting hours at the tankhouse, as they are getting prepared to expand to be ready for the upcoming season in November.

Afternoon KENNEBUNKER, yes what passes for Normalcy is a welcome change over this past several weeks.
Your return to the classroom mirrors what is underway in New Brunswick, a friends daughter is a teacher in Bismarck, N.D. they also have adopted this model, in years past school out in May, but started up by mid-August, out that way you can count on very hot weather at that time of year, believe the hope is they can avoid at least some of these extremes in temp.

Weather looking good, with a few showers possible on Sunday, will no doubt need a bit of moisture by that time. Longrange still looking good. Imagine our plates will be at the Outlets sometime by late September, time for drive and a bit of diversion, which I have been informed is an Outlet visit starting at North Conway to Freeport, with sighs being heard in the process.

Enjoy the classroom.

Good morning, Rob,

Isn't the normalcy of routine a good thing? Sounds like all three generations of your family are doing well. I start back at school tomorrow, and although I can't drive yet, Richard doesn't mind being my chauffeur. The district expects us to move between buildings for some trainings etc. on these first teacher days, so I'll have to tag along with some other teachers for a ride. All teacher stuff this week, and then the kids come back after Labor Day. Do your students return to the classroom then, too? We've had many, many Quebec license plates in the parking lots at the malls. Seems they come down to the outlets for their back-to-school shopping, too.

Glad to hear that Emily is getting hours at the tank house. Our guys here fish year round, close to shore in summer, further out in winter. It used to be that Monhegan started on New Year's Day, but they changed that a while back to October. We happened to be out there on trap day one fall and were surprised to see that!

Hope the good weather holds for the long weekend ahead.
