FINALLY some spring like weather to start the day, cloudy with sunny breaks, total calm, temp moving to the plus side, mid single digits by this afternoon. Possible rain showers, clearing overnight, sunny and warmer for tomorrow, still a damp weekend suggested.

The harbour mill pond calm, waterfowl evident, geese in the classic V formation showed up last evening, a small flock of brant made their way at the same time. This morning, many robins and sparrows attempting to find something to eat wherever some grass is poking through the snow cover.

Fisherman heading for the wharf starting going by here 0300HRS, has been a week, at least, since gear has been overhauled, time to at least change the bait.

Dear Rob:

Hello! Same conditions here and as I exited my car at work I was treated to two flocks of geese, honking away, coming overhead. What a welcome sight. Slightly upset I didn't have camera as it would have been great.

We are currently standing at +5!!! I haven't typed the + sign for so long I couldn't remember where it was on the computer. LOL

It certainly would be an excellent day to do the traps. At least it is not gale force and freezing. I am going to attempt to get a bit more of the slushy snow out of the driveway. At the moment our driveway is about 2 feet above grade with the accumulation of snow, ice, ice pellets, and everything else we have been dealt.

Have a great day and enjoy this when you can. I hope I get to see some of the brant before they take off.

Word. Chunks.
