Ominous looking sky, and almost feather white across the harbour this morning. Temp -2C, wind 30-35NE, will be Storm Force in short order. Blizzard conditions is forecast for this afternoon, letting up this evening. System has been compared to WHITE JUAN, however this system is fast moving JUAN was very slow and left lots of white stuff, not that we are exempt this time around from a good shot. Weather to moderate over next couple of days with indication may have double digits on the plus side for the weekend.

Ferry making her run this morning how long she maintains her schedule an unknown at this time. If all materializes as mentioned getting around once on the mainland will be difficult if not impossible.

Evening,
Not much snow, lots of wind. Bouy just outside of Jonesport/Beal's Island reported a gust of 118mph at 3:00 PM this afternoon. That is enough for me.

Morning,
Ditto for weather conditions except the snow has started. No boats today and we will see how tomorrow morning looks when it gets here. Power still on but internet connection for the public out. I am at the library. It is a different connection to cyberspace.

We had a good visit with Patsy and Tony in Portland last weekend. Good discussions at the meeting fron all attending but a little too much talk and not enough action for me. Still a big divide between lobster catchers, dealers and processors and the border throws another monkey wrench into the mix.

Boat is taking up space inside a heated building today as I won't get there to work on it. By tonight the hull should be waxed and the bottom painted if the boatyard crew can get to work on time. Launch scheduled for next Monday.
