A change in the landscape now the snow has quit, no dreary brown between here and the shore. Clear, a cold -12C, being pushed around by NW breeze 20-25KPH, wind will increase as the day moves along, temp to rise to mid single digits on the minus side. Similar conditions for next couple of days, temps to rise gradually with plus temps by end of the week.

The amount of snow down worthy of mention, as they say 'old fashioned' snow storm. Significant drifts in many locations. Yard was plowed and can only think of the great fun the kids would have knocking the stuff back down, over six foot mounds in most of the driveway.

As usual main road well maintained no problem getting around by mid-day. Ferry didn't make her first trip, nobody could get to her from here, and where would they go if they got to Blacks Harbour, final three trips made on time.

Dear Rob:

Thanks for info on Jeanne. I will call first thing when I get home from work.

Went to Moncton right after work today with rent-a-daughter. Supposedly just for the drive to pick up her jeep at the dealership. To be back by 5. However, there was some screw up due to storm, etc., so the jeep didn't get finished till 8. We just rolled in here.

You should have seen the snow up there. Although I will say, we have just as much. We easily have 6 - 7 foot snowbanks everywhere. Pushed back some places have 20 foot high banks. It is surreal.

The news said this morning: WE HAD 20 cm. I don't know what planet he was on. We easily had 45 in Hampton.

Well better get something arranged for tomorrow.

Have a good one and lucky clean-up. Blarg.

Word. Chunks.

Mornin CHUNKS, no shortage of snow around here, Dark Harbour Road captured 18 inches by the time things let up, combined with near Gale Force winds made for some interesting snow drifts. Didn't attempt to do any shoveling where there was snow it was feet deep, but nephew showed up late in the evening with plough, Donna now mobile.

Temp to rise as the week moves along looking like some moisture by Thursday, deciding if it will be rain or snow flurries for this park of the world, regardless don't seem a great deal one way or the other.

Otis mentioning yesterday that Jeanne in local hospital, can't confirm is such is the case or not.

Keep your shovel handy.
