Morning sky giving over to cloud cover, just below the freezing mark, total calm. Forecast for showers by this afternoon with rain showers possible, temp to climb into mid single digits. Nice temps and good conditions for the weekend with a possibility of snow flurries on Sunday.

Scallop boats have had an exceptional week of weather to start the season. Haven't had any definitive numbers on the level of catch. Duck Island Sounds still has a heavy concentration of boats, must be something to keep them in such a small area.

Dear Rob:

Congrats to Lil Rob!!!!! I - for some reason - thought he was in the auto mechanics course not painter/body work. Where did I get that? Anyway - awesome!

We had ice on the roads this morning as well but as you - the salt trucks were 'on it' before I left. I think they have snow-removal withdrawal, or something.

Just home and now have to get ready to go back out. Have a great rest of the day and talk later.

Mornin CHUNKS, very familiar with SEVEN DAYS WORK, did lots of trouting in the brook that enters the Bay at Ashburton Head. Certainly is one of the unique spots on the island, one of the many.

Rob taken out of class this week, rep from BAYVIEW looking for the best painter in the class, he has apparently earned the tag. He has been offered to do his practicum in May at their shop, once done and he graduates, if he lives up to his billing, they will offer him a position. He is certainly pumped, must say makes me grin a bit he enjoys what he is doing and being sought out at 18yrs of age quite a feather in his cap.

Weather has been great this past week, morning roads a bit slippery in spots, however local crew on them in lots of time, no accidents to report. Might be possible folks are aware of the conditions and drive accordingly.

Added another camera to Swallowtail, trees prevent getting a view of North Head, it looks out over the Bay at the moment, will make modifications after a bit. Have to confer with Kenny to see what his thoughts are.

Have a good one.

Rob
