And a wet one indeed,
Torrential rain, 35 mph S wind and thick fog making for a pleasant evening inside, beside the stove. The mainland has been a skating rink today. Police not even trying to keep track of icy road accidents, just responding as they can. There was video on the evening news of kids playing hockey (on skates) on a side street in Bangor. No need to worry about cars as none were moving nor could they if they wanted to move.

A friend has had 3 flights out of Bangor to Savannah, GA cancelled in the last 4 days so she bussed to Boston and is now back in GA. Not sure if she will ever return, at least in the winter.

Shipping lobsters has been more then problematic since Thanksgiving. FEDEX up to their eyeballs in weather related distribuition problems.
Oh well, everyone complains about the weather but no one does anything about it.

Hi, Rob.

We went from shorts weather last weekend to longjohns Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday. We're back to shorts weather this weekend, though it's damp and windy out.

It's no wonder my closet is in a shambles... winter clothes all mixed up with summer clothes!

Possible thunderstorms later this afternoon and evening.

Dear Rob:

We are finally up to a warm(er) temp and it has started to rain a bit. We have a sort of ground fog, nothing like I am sure you have. This to me can be a bleak time of year. It's damp, foggy, rain ... and it seems like everyone just disappears in to a hole to hibranate. So depressing! Must make self go out and do something, even if it is a Tim Horton's run.

Todays plans up in the air. Hopefully it will involve going somewhere, even though I have the daunting task of stowing all the Christmas boxes so they will fit in the allotted space. (probably why I want to escape - put off that job for a while more :) ) It sure looks bare without Christmas decorations.

Have a good day and talk soon.
