Weatherman appears to have it correct, rain has been the order of the day since last evening. Wind from SW 25-35KPH more rain and higher rain the order of the day. Clearing by evening, breezy warm and sun for tomorrow and more rain on Sunday. Temp a balmy 14C to rise near 20C and remain high for next couple of days.

Halloween quiet at this end of the road, possibly a dozen goblins, come early and shut down as the weather become less friendly. The kids that visited here certainly having a grand time.

Rob remaining in St. John for the weekend, did ask "Nan" for some money to do his laundry. His modest request topped up off course, 'just in case'.

Dear Rob:

We are currently being pounded by high winds - which appear to be getting higher as the day moves along. So far my battening down of the wood pile and the greenhouse appear to be holding. Remains to be seen for the remainder of the storm.

Nothing else to report. Just going to keep everything together for the rest of the day. Could be a chore.

Hold on to your hat and have a good one

Word. Chunks.

Hauled some traps yesterday morning, drove to Weeks Mills to help Rachel make final move (for now!!) into her new digs and succeeded in getting storage unit of stuff into new apartment before wind and rain of today. Today will be spent reassembling that which was taken apart during the last move.

By the time we left yesterday, we had moved a couple of loads of short warp traps after seeing the sea conditions forecasts for this storm. Singles don't stay put quite so well in rough spells and considering the time of year and what we were catching out of the shorter stuff, it seems the process of "taking up" has commenced.

From 55 degrees and windy from SW today, Sunday is due to be chilly with snow showers. One day soon we will be shoveling to get out of the house.
