Rapid City, warm(49F), clear, calm, will be travelling into the sun for a few hours it seems. Weather along the route looks to be alright for travelling.

Yesterday another stellar day of gawking about the countryside, Mt. RUSHMORE another highlight, well presented, facilities impeccable. Didn't notice any children in the groups we met. Stopped at another carving underway, Chief CRAZY HORSE, also impressive, but more commercial than Mt. RUSHMORE. All in all a good day to play tourist.

Heading to the east for Madison, Wisc. in a few minutes, saying farewell to longtime friends and travel companions, part of the start to the day.

Dear Rob:

This is sounding more and more like the most awesomest adventure ever. I would love to see the sculpture of Chief Crazy Horse. Hope you got a picture.

As stated before, ever since the first day of fall we have been under grey skys and rain and/or heavy mist. In speaking with Jeanne on Grand Manan, you had the same and/or fog. Is this an indication of the entire fall and winter? God, I hope not. Sigh

Carry on having fun and enjoy every moment. Too soon it will be back to the grind.

Off to garden duties. So much to do and so little time. Just get started and it pours or something Blarg.

Word. Chunks.
