A grand rise of the sun from behind Ross Island this morning, now a bit of haze, calm, a cool -2C will rise near double digits and remain clear for today. Rain expected tomorrow and Saturday.

Tide up this morning large flock of brant near the shore infront of the house, talking to one another not quite a din but had no problem hearing them from the verandah.

Ferry service remains one of the major topics of the local conversation, followed closely by the Anchorage Park not opening. The mayor has requested a sit down with the Premier and Minister of Transportation, no date, just an acknowledgement the request is under consideration. The Park might have a resolution, however very late for any entrepreneur to get involved for this new season. The Government wants to involve a third party to operate and will co-operate to get the Park open in some significant areas to assist in making it happen.
