GRAND MANAN, N.B.

FRIDAY, MARCH 1/13
Posted by: GRANDMANAN, 11:46 AM GMT on March 01, 2013 +0
March coming in like a lion, rain changed to snow overnight being pushed around via NW 30-35KPH breeze. Temp -1C, some indication might be in the rain mode by this afternoon then back to snow showers this evening. Similar weather pattern for the next few days, mixed precip. seems to be catchall phrase to describe the mess.

Emily reports good weather in Quispam till late afternoon, then snow at suppertime. Rained steady till late last night, over 40mm down yesterday, large amount of snow disappeared.

Rain yesterday, no school, snow covered roads this morning, school in commence.

Local fishery news remains quiet, egging done, scalloping done, lobster fishing go slow time of the year. Prices remain good with no product to put in the system.

Good morning Rob.
The province released the flood forecast for the province yesterday.
It looks like were going to have moderate flooding on both the Assiboine and Red rivers. I guess alot depends on the rate of melt. The say that the even with the Portage Diversion being used Lake Manitoba will stay within it'a normal operating range.
Enjoy your day.
