Mostly overcast, a westerly breeze 20KPH,temp -1C, not much change anticipated for the next few days. Longrange indicates can expect this with a bit of sun till mid next week at least.

Emily and her roomate to be picked up tomorrow for a weekend visit to return on Sunday.Gives Donna an opportunity to get in a few hours at shopping that hasn't taken place for a number of weeks.

Hellish loss from WOODS HARBOUR, five guys lost, no recovery of any of the bodies. Hard weather over the weekend made any hope of locating and recovery of any survivors or deceased impossible. By the time conditions abated no sign of boat, debris or fisherman, during the storm U.S. Coast Guard located an image via infra red technolgy, nothing after that.

Dear Rob:

Everyone here is talking about the five lost fishermen as well. Almost all are saying how it is almost identical to the guys lost on the Andrea Gail. The boat size, the guys, the storm, the whole deal is similar. So greivous for the families. Do you know if they ever found their life raft? I had heard they found their boat over-turned? Whatever the circumstance it is just Terrible.

You will be in for a fun time this weekend. You can kiss your vehicle good-bye (been there, did that). Oh well, it wil be fun to have the girls home. Keep in mind you can send them home on Sunday. HaHa

We continue to have nice weather, even if the sun is not out. At least it is warm(ish).

I have had a few visitors to the house of late : one was a beautiful great horned owl. The crows really dive-bombed him so he made a roost and stayed long enough for me to get lots of pictures. It was a great experience. These elusive birds are never seen. This would be my first in ? --> ever :)
Today I had six deer -- and surprisingly the female with the mangled leg is still going. She can run very well on three legs even in the deep snow. My red squirrel has also produced a girlfriend so I may have a population explosion of those. The little guy has been on his own for years now so it is kind of amazing.

Well, enough gabbing. Time to get with it. Have a great day and we will talk soon.
