NEMO has finally left the area, his visit will require some assessment for sure, left quite a mess. Currently a fair breeze from the north, seems almost calm at 20-254KPH, highest on my guage yesterday was 117KPH, several early afternoon gusts over 100KPH. Temp -9C with windchill near -20C, clear and temps to steay rise to very low single digits, southerly and moisture early in the week.
NEMO rearranged some beaches and eroded some of the island before he moved on.STANLEYS BEACH a complete makeover with wave action where it never has been, certainly in my memory, driftwood on the road near the Castalia ball field, PETTES COVE beach debris across the road, all for starters. Mother Nature has a method of healing some of these things, now will be interesting if she approves of the new look or will repair over a period of time.
Emily stayed close to the Campus yesterday, conditions poor there, but not as pronounced as here in the Bay of Fundy.
