A nice start to the day, partial overcast, a draft from NE, temp a modest -5C, not expected to rise much during the day, with current conditions the order of the day. A storm for the weekend is in the forecast, a major amount of snowfall for Friday, possible at this time.
Weather might prevent Emily and her friend from visiting this weekend, plan is to fetch her home on Friday and return to UNB on Sunday. If the weather materializes will have to put it off for another weekend for sure.
Lots of traffic heading for the wharf this morning before daylight, boats taking advantage of the lull to get some work done I suspect.

Well, here we go again!
This up and coming storm seems to be all over the map. Some say we are getting 20 cm and a good northwest wind. Others say it is going to start Friday and go right in to Saturday with more like 50 cm of snow.
The general concensus is also that New England is going to get pounded once again - like the White Hurricane they got last. I don't know - do you think we should wait and see later in the week. The Grand Manan weather is giving 45 k winds for Saturday, which makes one shutter - due to the fact that they are usually right on the money.
At any rate, I hope you hold off going to Fredericton, unless you can leave on the first boat, get Emily and be back on the 1:00 boat. Is that doable? That Fredericton trip is just awful at the best of times.
Well, if you find out anything else - let us know.
Word. Have a good night.
p.s. David - Did you hear anything about it down your way yet?
