Dear Rob:

Leave it to the Grand Mananers to set a date to get something done and actually have it done by that time, or before. Love it. I am sure the residents are so looking forward to the new place, but, I was and am pretty taken with their location down at Stanley Beach - or is that the actual now nursing home. Anyway - it is a beautiful setting.

Daughter called last evening to say that she may be trekking off to Costa Rica and in to Nica again this year? She was complaining no one else would commit to travel. I said: (a) no one but you wants to trek through the jungles of South America, risking life and limb, and scaring the crap out of your mother, and (b)no one wants to give up their job, if they have one, and hope to get one when they get back. Anyway, she doesn't get it.

The weather has also turned here. What a heat wave. All the customers we did get this morning said the roads were unbelievable. One of the paramedics came in and said that the back roads and mountain passes were unpassable and they couldn't get there if there was any sort of emerg. It will take a while to get everything cleared up.

Well, rain or not, I'm going outside for a bit. Have a great day. Word. Chunks.

Mornin DAR, a short respit from the cold for next couple of days. Southerly and rain as daylight enters the swamp, lots of it over next couple of days. Will be a change, but seasonal by the weekend.

Your weather is what the ads tell us Florida has to offer we from the frozen north, have to take your word for it, haven't been that way. Brothers have been making the annual trek for years, not a golfer or a beach person I guess, nor is Donna so haven;t had any conflict in not taking the trip.

The project next door to you has started again, am being advised completion date still this fall, with a moving date before Xmas 2013, seems ambitious. They have as many as two dozens hands on site, with more set to arrive, weather permitting.

Stay clear of the gators.
