Dear Rob:

Currently we are at -17.5 - with the W windchill it feels like -30. Today is brutally cold. Monday, Tues., Wed., you could at least go out if bundled up warmly. Today, you would have to be nuts. On the news this morning it said Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritimes were the official coldest spots on the planet yesterday. WHAT?????

One thing is for sure - there is a lot of stuff getting done around the house as it is way to cold to do anything outside. Global warming? - what global warming.

Well, stay warm and have a good one. Like you, it seems there are several more days before we can even think about warmer temps. It will be pretty bad when we think - 10 is a heat wave. HaHa.

Word. Chunks.

Morning,
0 degrees, 25mph NW, vapor thick when I took Cindy to work at 9 AM. Good day to stoke stoves, plug air leaks when found and be thankful for full propane tank and plenty of firewood. The water was frozen in one place this morning and I have done what I thought was a good job of insulating the pipe in that area but not good enough. Perhaps I did it correctly this time.

Quick trip to Boston Tuesday and back Wednesday means no fire in the shop for 3 days. I am trying to get it up to temp today to sand a few bouys and thaw out the paint so I can put a coat of paint on them tomorrow. I may have to bring the paint into the house to thaw it out. I think Cindy draws the line at my painting bouys in the house.

Stay warm. May the invasive bugs and diseases that have been migrating for the last few years freeze their butts off.
