Clear, calm, -5C temp, clear with temps over the freezing level before dropping back to slightly below overnight. Similar weather conditons order of the day for next few days.

A quick trip to St. Andrews yesterday, uneventful, a fair number travelling in the morning, come back on next trip lots of room then.

Emily writing today and tomorrow, will make a trip on Fredericton to have her home for a few days, then back to write an exam early next week, then off for the Xmas Break.

Sea Egging reports, odd in the fishing industry, are good, weather, quality, quantity and price lining up on the positive side.

Morning,
Almost nice enough weather to make me wish I had traps in the water, almost but not quite. That is good news on the sea eggs fishery. The shrimp fishery here has been closed for the winter, or so it seems. Shrimp like cold water and the encroaching warmer waters from the south are having an effect upon larval recruitment. In the 1950's the water temp was high and the shrimp catch very low so history is repeating itself.

We had our annual Co-op meeting yesterday. High volume and low price for the fifth year in a row make for a solemn bunch of guys. Lots of discussion on how to retake control of our catch. Historically you could look around for a higher bidder but with the volume we now see that does not work. We shall see.

Dear Rob:

We were in Fredericton today - just got home (9:35 p.m.) Daughter's 22nd birthday so took the entire crew out to the Garrison Arms. Hubby tried not to look too shocked when he got the bill - he paid for everyone. No time for shopping as such as we didn't even get there until 2:30 - then had to deliver cake over to daughter's work and meet all the kids, etc., etc. Oh well - saves on the pocket book there anyway. :0

RE; Lobster - I think David is absolutely right on retaking control because they are getting ripped off big time. At the end of the our street lobsters are $7.99 per pound. In Fredericton - anywhere from that price to $10.00, depending on where you go. So, how does that happen??

Anyway - gotta get something done before I hit the hay. Exhausted!

You all have a great night and p.s. to David - Did you see the full rainbow halo around the sun today? I have not seen a full halo - sundogs yes but this no - in years. A bad omen.

Word. Chunks.
