GRAND MANAN, N.B.

A mild 10C, overcast, a slight draft WSW, changing to westerly and clearing as the day moves along. Temp to remain mild, till this evening then decline to near freezing mark, certainly acceptable for this time of year.

Emily returned to UNB, now time to get prepared for upcoming exams, then a few days travelling back and forth from Home to finish up before the Xmas Break. Rob in the final throes of applying for Community College in St. John.

Boats appear to have a half decent day, at the moment, marine forecast was indicating a fair amount of wind for today, and most of the week.

Mornin CHUNKS, a huge turnout at the Market, what little I saw in travelling by was a big crowd for the entire day, not a great surge then go quiet as has been the case in years past.

If you guys play your cards right sounds as if you might get a deal on some Atlantic Salmon for the Festive Season.

Great deal of wind over the weekend, something to see at Southern Head, ferry never missed any trips, haven;t heard what the trips were like. Going over would be on your tail coming this way, for some of the time might be interesting. There were some big holes lookingout over the water yesterday for sure.

Had a few critters dropped off on Saturday, damned fine for sure, a lobster sandwich today for supper. Mighty fine meat, and lots of it in each one, high quality, low price.

Have a good one.

Afternoon,
Done, kaput, fini, call it what you will but the last load is onshore and put away for season 2012. Nothing to do but get ready for 2013. Reports of large hauls coming out of SW Novie. Multiple reports of our price headed down shortly. No break for the fisherman in any of this scenario. Lots of talk of doing something a bit different in this part of the world but time will tell if we have the courage to change up our traditional sales methods.

Last load featured multiple gannets getting a meal for the day. Some school fish still in quite close to shore especially considering how cool it has been. When I got in my wife and Bruce Fernald's wife were getting in their December dip of the month dip. Just the thought of going in the water creates a chill in my bones.

I will haul out the boat tomorrow morning and settle into the shop routine, and looking forward to it at that.
