The wind has quit, a grand sunrise over Ross Island, temp a cool -9C, will rise to low single digits, before dropping back. Next few days looking good, but cool for quite aways out.
The boats should be at work this morning, a couple of days overset due to weather after a week of steady hauling should be a good thing. Catch slowly getting to the levels of last year daily landings lower at the outset, however has been consistant at a good level enabling a recovery of numbers for most boats, it seems at least.
Evening patrol reveals more festive yards coming to life, weather has been condusive to outside efforts, great to see.
