Another brilliant red sun over Ross Island, NE breeze 25-30KPH with some higher gusts, temp says 7C, however with strength of the wind much cooler. Temps to rise slightly, sun to remain, wind to diminish as the day moves along.

Rob working after school, catch a bit higher again yesterday, still far below what has been expected this early in the season. The price still unknown, possibly today or tomorrow the cheques will be written.

Emily has regained her compusure enough to make some possible suggestions for gifts she might like under the Xmas Tree. She has rebounded from her trauma quite well.

Dear Rob:

We have same exact weather as you. Sun is just delicious - but step in to the shade and it is first layer down garment cold. Brrr

Glad Emily has recovered. :) Sarah also has her gift list delivered. Cody only wants Snap on Tools to increase his work tool dept., thus not having to borrow from the other fellows.

DAVID: I know you all work your asses off so God gives you those awesome moments of seeing stuff, but I am always just so jealous. You get to see it all it seems. A good Christmas gift for you would be a small point and shot camera for your pocket - then we all would get to see it too. HINT HINT - DAVID NEEDS TO BUY HIMSELF A GIFT. :) Again, lucky you!!!

Well, off to get it done. Have a good one you two.

Word. Chunks.

Morning,
Up early to take up a another load of traps but E wind and swells negated my early rise. I have 4 more loads to get into the field. Wire arrived yesterday for my winter's work so not a lot of down time. I have already painted some bouys for next year. One of the advantages of getting your gear up early is that you have a longer time to get your work done in prep for setting out next spring.

Chunks--yesterday when taking up a load of traps we watched a porpoise swimming in the wake of the boat. The sun was just right so that when he exhaled the spray blew up and almost into the sunshine. It was like a mini geyser , only following us.

Off to Mom's for our Thanksgiving. Both girls will be there as well as the usual inlaws/outlaws.
