A brilliant red sun showing over Ross Island, harbour flat calm, a cool -7C, heavy frost makes quite a white contrast to red reflection of the high water. Temp to rise mid single digits, sunny, similar conditions remain in the forecast for the remainder of the week.
Rob spent time at the Lobster Car after school, he assures us he is caught up in his school work, metnions the catch looking better, still aways to go before to catch up what has been `normal`this past few years.
Emily wrote two mid-terms yesterday, quite an experiance for her. She had high anxiety almost unable to write, feels she did not do well on either exam, constant contact with Donna in attempt to get things under control.
Otis continues to amaze a full day of doctor, shopping and socializing never slacked a moment the whole time, great at 91 years and counting.

Deepest sympathy! I remember Sarah's first year - first exams - with crystal clarity. I got so many crying phone calls that we practically could have bought Bell Aliant out for what we paid them. :)
First year is to show the kids exactly what the profs want, how they want it written, and what you have to know. Second term brings on a whole new perspective of study, study, study.
Don't worry - she will get it too.
We had such a heavy frost I had to scrap once when I went out to feed the birds, and again when I left for work. Even at 10:30 when I went for coffee there was still frost on the door that was not in the sun. However, that being said, it is beautiful sunshine out there and I intend to use it to my advantage.
Note that I am here so thus did manage the greenhouse project of yesterday okay on my own. :)
