Seasonal weather conditions comes to mind, overcast, NE 25-35-KPH, temp 3C. Wind Advisory in place till late this afternoon. Wind to remain in northerly quadrant for next several days, however beginning to slack back later on tonight.

SETTING DAY tomorrow morning at 0700HRS, will be much better, however still some wind and cooler temps to contend with, not too the dangerous level that has been the case all week.

Lobster Fisherman protest has resulted in a Conference Call with the Federal Minister of Fisheries this afternoon. The hope is to at least obatain a moritorium on the sale of local licenses outside the district till the matter can be discussed at the table.

Rob still working getting ready for the fishery, he has missed school so far this week, will have some catching up to do next week for sure.

Dear Rob:

My alarm woke me up to a discussion on the Grand Manan fishery - I think I came in in the middle of the interview. Anyway - what I heard was great.

The paper this morning also had the big story on what was going on. I gotta tell you Rob - if the story is completely right in the paper - then I am with the Grand Manan fishers. First of all our dumb government bought and gave licenses to the First Nations (people who don't even fish), and those are apparently being leased out now???? - and now they are allowing outside buying - (and apparently to one large operator). Does our government always keep their heads up their butts, or just most days?

Anyway - I am TOTALLY in if they need extra people to protest. I have protested at Moosehead Breweries, and pretty much any where else where I feel the little guy is getting totally riped off. So, you might see me there.

Praying the wind stays down so you all have a good day tomorrow - a.m. hours.

Hope it will be okay for you to keep us abreast of the situation, but realize this is a public forum and you are in a public job so you have to stay sort of neutral here.

Have a great day any how. Word Chunks.
