A change in the weather, temp wise, high teens yesterday this morning a mere 3C. Wind increasing from NW, now 15-20 KPH expected to be in the 40 KPH range by noon, clearing, more seasonal temps and weather conditions to be the order of the day for the next few days at least.

SETTING DAY stood down once again, high winds in the forecast for tomorrow also. Nova Scotia boats left yesterday, after confrontation with local fisherman. A complex issue, historicaly, in the lobster fishery a resident of a community has fished the local waters. Thus keeping the financial rewards in the local economy, each license supports a minimum of three families directly, reported as many as nine licenses now on Novie boats.

Rob still working getting prepared for when the Fishery does kick over, no doubt will be working a few extra days over the weekend. Back to school next week for sure.

Dear Rob;

Same temperatures and wind conditions here. Glad no one took the chance and WENT FOR IT. Know it will take a few days off the season, but if anything like last year, the price will drop to nothing anyway and thus the fuel and extra man-power costs will off set.

Mentioned to hubby yesterday on the way to town that I felt there would be something happening between the N.S. boats and the Grand Manan ones. What the province was thinking on allowing licenses to be sold outside is a mystery. This is just going to be one big mess from beginning to end and sorry - but I am with the Grand Mananers. If a license can't be sold on our side then let it stand as empty. That way there is more for those risking their lives to go out there. No also that would be a hardship for those wishing to sell and get their money back. What a tangled web - so to speak.

Text from Cody saying they actually prepared a supper for themselves last night - probably kraft dinner. HaHa. Suspect will see him with a load of laundry come Friday/Saturday.

Have a good one. Word. Chunks.

Good morning Dar, the lobsster license issue of great concern locally. The boats that made the trip across the Bay yesterday certainly an opportunity for problems, fortunate no porblems encountered.

The weather forecast remains high winds till Friday, of course might change, but chances are will be then before the gear gets into the water, takes a few days off the season for sure.

Beginning to see work at the Nursing Home take shape as you drive by, in a week or so the framining of the structure schedules to be in commence.

Have a good one.

I am sad to hear that the Nova Scotia boats are fishing Grand Manan areas. Hopefully there are
lots of lobster for everyone. Lets hope you can
get out tomorrow. Apparently the NS fishermen are
all safe.
