A balmy 15C, sunshine, a southerly breeze 25-35KPH to increase as the day goes along, rain and more wind in the forecast for the next few days.

Baited and loaded traps this morning, however appears the weather may delay the Opening Day for the next few days. A meeting being held today to make a decision if to wait for better conditions, weather for next few days not favourable for getting the gear in the water.

We had the crew in plenty of time this morning made short work of the traps. All are baited, first trip aboard the boat, one trip on the whart final trip on the trailers ready to go.

Rob working with gear for M.G. FISHERIES getting ready for the catch when the gong does go. Lots of activity with some boats still getting gear ready.

Dear Rob:

Greetings! Hope you had the day off!

Well, it is official! My last kid has left the nest. Cody got a new job in Sussex and thus he has moved there with his friend Jacob - a transmission specialist with Aiton Transmission.

We were going to come to Grand Manan for setting day, however, Cody just announced at the last moment that he was moving today?? So, we dropped our plans and helped him move. It was a sad day. I must say Jacob had the apartment spit-polished when I got there. I think Cody gave him the heads up I was coming. The only room sadly lacking was the bathroom. I betook myself to the store to buy scrubbing bubbles WITH BLEACH. GROSS. When I left Martha Stewart would have even been proud. :)

Made it to the car before I was a bit teary eyed. Hubby was sort of laughing at me being emotional. MEN!

Anyway - on the way home I noted the wind had really come up. I hope that tomorrow is calmer for the fishermen's sake. Please give a full report on the goings on. I am sorry to miss my photo-opt, but, kids first - RIGHT?

Have a good one and I will look forward to hearing about the day.

Word. Chunks.
