Nasty one continues, nor'easter still intact, wind is letting up some, lots of rain, temp 4C. Wind steady 30-40KPH, last evening gusting to 85KPH, sustained in 60-65KPH, no snow for us, believe some on the mainland.
The folks in the New York area getting a bad one again, further loss of power, wind, snow and cold, not good.
Girls returned on the early afternoon trip, managed to be ahead of the heavy wind, no problem, trip a success. A 'few' items remain, however a start on the festive season has been accomplished.
Emily busing to Quispam for a weekend visit, not her favourite mode of travel for sure.

Sounds like you are getting pounded more than we are! Don't get me wrong - we have high winds but nothing sustained like you are enduring
Unfortunately, we did have snow. Woke up to the wind at 3:00 a.m. due to the wind and upon looking out was horrified to see everything blanketed in white. Blarg! It was around minus 2 then.
This morning it had warmed up??? to +2 and things were starting to melt but still had to shovel off the deck and the cars. Blarg again.
Co-worker who lives in Queens had one heck of a time getting to work. Thankfully, she has michelin tires, albeit they are summer. The mountain passes were not plowed and were turning to 2 inches of slush. She was glad to make the Kings Co., line and thus a bit warmer. She saw a couple cars in the ditch on the way. GAME ON WINTER.
Does 'whatshisname' not have a vehicle? It would be nice if he made the effort to get up to see Emily, or let him take the bus for once. It sure makes them wake up.
Sarah never had a car and we said that really with the bus system in Fredericton she really (or rather we didn't) need the extra expense. The kids really don't appreciate how much all this stuff costs until they are paying for it themselves. In my day we were lucky that someone was coming home at times and we could share the cost of the gas. Oh well ... you could go on and on.
Hope you are not getting blown away. Have a great rest of the day.
Word. Chunks.
Hope the water doesnot go over the road.
