A different morning than yesterday, total calm, overcast, a balmy 12C. Forecast suggesting partly cloudy with double digits temps for next few days, nightime temps to dip but not in the frost range. Pretty nice forecast this far into the fall season.
Lots of rain yesterday, heard of at least one basement flooding, where the water making its way to the beaches lots of erosion, a couple of tidal cycles will not know it happened.
Otis remains in hospital seems to be improving all the while. Advises he is feeling well, having lots of company helps the day move along.
Donna enroute from YoHo this morning will be on the first trip this morning. The rain in that area something to talk about went on the entire day. We at least had a small respit once in awhile.

Mornin David, the sea creatures are changing, last report shag lobster fishing, now gannets diving for bait. Never seen gannets hanging aroud boats at anytime, most of the time they do thier thing at a distance. Last few years have noticed some birds closer to the island than previous, but like you never for bait.
Guys getting anxious as Opening Day get closer, no more idea of what the price will be like. The head of the Bay area opened last week, no report on what is going on, they were looking for $4/lb plus for a price, may have been more wishful thinking than fact.
Yesterday here was like a nightmare. I am sure if Donna on the Main she will tell you all about it. I am so glad I decided at the last minute not to start out for Fredericton.
Did attempt to get to Quispamsis for groceries. On the two laner you would be lucky to get up to 60 kpm. Torrential rain. I noticed that even the usual people in big honkin trucks who always drive like maniacs had actually slowed down. You just couldn't see.
It has finally let up on the wind but we are still under very dark skies - looks like it could open up at any moment.
You cannot see one square inch of green on my lawn. I am completely carpeted in maple leaves. I will be a month of sundays raking that bunch up. :)
Glad Otis is feeling better. In no time he will be back to his old self.
Well, gotta get something done here. Have a great day and talk soon.
Word. Chunks.
The leaves pretty well gone from our forest, they don't hang around with the wind keeping them airborne and well away. They are well in the bush across the road, has to be a big row of trees to fetch them up, no raking here.
Beautiful afternoon, still mid teens bright sun, we had the black clouds early, but long gone now, clearing conditions coming up the Bay should be with you guys shortly.
