A grand one this morning, bright red sun over Ross Island, now a full sun taken over, calm, temp a cool 9C. Forecast suggesting a southerly flow by this afternoon will bring wet conditions.
Emily and whathisname showed up on time, seen some of them, both very tired and resting most of the time. Supper a gathering with all the Thanksgiving fixins, a few examples left for consumption today and possibly tomorrow. They are off to another feast at Grammie Grace's on next ferry, not to tarry very long.Emily has found a bigger world and enjoying the learning process finding out all about it.

We are starting to prepare the feast. Beautiful weather here so far.
Last night's birthday party - for the older set - and the alumni dance - for the younger set has produced some sad looking people this morning. Son has not even reared his head yet. The kids had to walk home from the dance as no one could drive - adults or kids. They were all totally soaked by the time they got here at 3:00 a.m. The promised 'drives home' if everyone left their vehicles home did not come to total fruation for some reason. This, I felt was a total screw up by someone. All these people and no drives. Oh well, next year they might find that not so much people come to the dance.
Not having a super crew here this year but still will be enough. After everyone comes home from their respective parents, then there will be a gathering here for a game of something. Another late night. I got 2 and a half hours last night - then too much disturbances and couldn't get back to sleep. Oh well - I knew this would be the norm for this weekend.
