Overcast, 14C, the dampness in the forecast not too far off. Southeast breeze beginning to increase expected to be near 50KPH and rain by this afternoon. The sky certainly would indicate this being a strong possiblity.
Emily and whatshisname on first boat this morning, spending an overnight then off to his side of the relationship for another feast. Dinner this evening, kitchen noises well in commence. I stay clear, culinary skills not my forte by a longshot.

Mornin David, fall sounds like fine dining on the Cranberry Isles. On the prairie they go on at the various church denominations for weekends, always enjoyed partaking of the Ukranian offerings. The menu quite different from this part of the world.
Bait showing up intermittant, some from Georges Bank via midwater trawler, seiners from your area. Cost is signifigant $520/ton, some quite ripe by the time it is trucked here, no alternative do what you can.
Shag story a first for me, rumour has it lots of lobster in very close to shore at some locations around the island. One story has them washing ashore, alive, unless things have changed would suggest the coming ashore is 'story'. Donna's grandfather always said a story wasn't true as they all begin with'once upon a time', enjoy the weekend.
A shag is local name for Commorant, not a pretty bird, don't know when I learned they had a different name than shag.
Thanksgiving gathering this evening, Rob off for Driver Training first boat, Emily off next boat. Will have Donna's dad and her aunt at the table also, nice crowd. Turkey underway at the moment, must make myself scarce before I get underfoot.
Have great weekend.
