Minor Hockey registration starting this weekend, folks from the mainland offering a grand weekend of league games first weekend in November. Triple A, St.John Sea Dogs and two teams from Fredericton agreed to play here on the island, providing the logistics can be made to work. Age of the players mid teens, hitting allowed, would be the first time our boards given a jolt. Also still folks wanting to see where the MARS commercial was filmed, three this week alone.

Our herring are coming from not too far away, less then 25 miles. The guys fishing that far out report the seiners are there now. The eastern area of the Gulf of ME has been closed for a while with the west area open. Flip flop now, the east open, west closed.
