This anniversary of 9/11 very fall like to say the least, bright sun, a strong breeze from NW, temp a wind driven 11C. Similar conditions for the remainder of the week.
Emily doing her thing getting her stuff together, a minimum of txting back and forth. Mainly confirming the cash she required for purchases were in 'her' account that being done time to get herself in the learning mode.
The severe weather the rest of the Atlantic Provinces has endured and continues this past couple of days we were spared. Flooding in Truro has been severe, as the crow flies not a long distance from here, no great amount of moisture our way. That system and ISAAC are meeting in NFLD this morning, lots of problems for those folks.

I'm hoping that there won't be too much damage in the areas affected.
Great day on the water with a bit of leftover roll from Leslie but most of the sea had subsided by late afternoon. Lots of mackeral around with gannets diving and porpoise getting their fill with reports of a stray school of bluefish here and there. On land we have a lot of hummingbirds topping off their tanks before they head south. Hard to imagine how many times their wings will beat from here to wherever they end up for the winter.
Our Emily has her reservations for the NL ferry next week. Good thing she wasn't going this week as it may have been a rough ride. I see that the crossing was cancelled for 2 days due to Leslie.
If you wayward wanderers end up in this part of the world we will be around all weekend.
Enjoy yourselves,
David
