A clear calm, cool morning underway, harbour flat calm, red sun well up over Ross Island. Temp to rise near 20C, with some cloudy periods in the offing, similar conditions for the weekend.

Geese, although few in numbers, gathering on the lawn between here and the shore just after daylight. The cherry bomb puts them up, but they are back already, messy is being kind to what they are capable of doing to the lawn. Large flocks making up already, noticed a group heading south very high last week, early for that type of activity.

University classes slowly getting in commence, the real scholastic world will be the result. Rob as usual dose not have much if any homework, too early I guess.

Dad had some problems with geese when he lived on Lake Greenwood. They DO leave a mess, don't they? Poop and feathers everywhere. The feathers he could deal with. The poop? Not so much.

Just a pop in to say hello. I just love Rob. He always somehow seems to make it even with no homework. Glad Emily is getting into her class work. We were looking at a storm in the GOM that has seemed to fizzle. Really happy for that. Sorry about your geese population. Soon they will be moving on. My best friend had a huge black bear in her yard this week. We have an abundant crop of acorns this year so the bears are very happy. Hope you have a great weekend.
