Overcast, a bit of haze, SW breeze 10KPH, a mild 17C, temp to rise to low 20's wind to remain southerly and increase by this afternoon. Long weekend looking to be good weather conditions.

One vehicle loaded with Emily's things, bigger items to go in Donna's this evening. The exodous of university students in earnest tomorrow. Registration then frosh week festivities.

Tourist traffic appears to be still maintaining a high level, folks visiting over long weekend, then have shoulder season for a few weeks. Longrange forecast indicates above normal temps to be the order of the day.

Good morning Rob.
Enjoy the day while I continue to bake on the prairie.

Dear Rob:

Well, it is ALMOST all over but the crying! Tomorrow is the big day for a lot of families. My boss is taking his daughter to St. Thomas tomorrow and his wife is pretty much beside herself that Victoria is leaving for university. My mind only - this is going to make it very hard for their daughter to get a start without worrying about parents. I totally get that it is hard to leave them on their own devices, but our duty as parents is to make it as less painful as possible. Hope you and Donna make out okay with it.

We are having the same weather as you - warm but with a nice breeze to make it bearable.

Have a great day Rob and good luck tomorrow. I will be remembering how we did four years ago. Where does the time go?

Morning,
Traps all baited up, SW breeze up to 20mph and ebb tide, so I am home for the long weekend which starts today and ends Monday. Both daughters home for the weekend so we will lay around and do nothing.

Congrats on getting your Emily's stuff in 2 vehicles. Be forewarned that upon picking her up next spring you will need a bigger car or truck then what you now have. CHUNKS can verify this as a true statement.

While hauling traps offshore yesterday a carrier fully loaded was heading NE so I assume to Black's Harbor. If the bait gets really scarce on GM some of the locals will have to re-direct the carriers to GM. Lobster prices up a bit, all way to $2.50 for boat run and $3.00 for jumbo lobsters.

On your fall excursion if you are coming this way give me a shout. We will be gone from 9-13 through 9-16 for a brief respite from whatever is the problem at that time.
