A grand one underway this morning, clear, total calm, a cool 10C, will rise into low 20's with a SW draft by this afternoon. Weatherman suggesting conditions to remain the same for the long weekend.
The fact we have a ferry every two hours is a concept one could get used to. Travelled yesterday with Rob, not one to prowl followed the list had the stuff, managed a visit to Canadian Tire and home for supper. Lots of folks travelling the 3:30 trip mostly local folks, doing similar chores, the GRAND MANAN V had a nearly full trip.
Girls off for a quick foray to do some Cross Border turning over of things in Calais, they also plan to return by supper time.

Folks on the Gulf Coast certainly getting it hard this morning. Initial reports would indicate another possible loss of life in the offing, 20 inches of rain impossible to comprehend.
Rob and I had a quick trip to St. John yesterday, shopping for school supplies not like when they were younger. He had the cart, need this, this and this, lets go. Clothes and a new pair of hockey skates later bank account about depleted, some junk food and he drove back to Blacks. The hour he was at the wheel almost had txt withdrawal till he got the vehciles stopped. Driving not bad, however with the new highway he tended to loose the concept of SPEED LIMIT and hands at 10 & 2 while driving, one must be cool, especially when entering the Parking Lot at Blacks.
Have a good one.
ROB
I swear to God Cody and L'il Rob could be brothers - or is it just a guy thing? It seems like once they get the music pumping it helps along the speed limit - or in their cases - above same. Last year Cody was over by 10 kph. He got a $300.00 and something fine and lost 5 pts. His father told him " I said when you were able to pay a speeding ticket you could go ahead and speed, so I am assuming that you are okay with parting with that much of your cash so take yourself down to the police station and pay up". MAN DID THAT HURT. We absolutely refushed to give him one dime. Lesson learned. I hope.
Shopping - ditto! Cody takes his list, gets the stuff, gets out of Dodge. Unless the store happens to be auto parts. :)
Also, when entering or exiting Tim Hortons, or other popular places, the shades go on, one hand on the wheel, slumped down nonchalantly to the left, window down, music blasting, text machine on dash. GOD!
I feel your pain with the moving. We, in the end, had to do an actual trial pack the night before to make sure everything would fit in truck, and CARS - underlined. :) Then had to unpack due to threat of rain. Thank the Lord I am not doing that again this year.
Well, we finally have some clean, crisp, Canadian air so I am outside for the first time in a long time.
Have a great day. You certainly can say it is not going to be a boring weekend for you.
I have Art in The Park on Sunday and then a wilderness experience for overnight right after. Can't wait to hear NOTHING but the water running over the salmon pools and the, HOPEFULLY, odd mosquito.
Word. Chunks.
