SUNDAY, JULY 8/12
|By: GRANDMANAN, 11:14 AM GMT on July 08, 2012||+0|
A grand one underway this morning, a slight draft with a NW influence, bright sun, temp already 18C, weatherman suggesting high of 20C, seems it will surpass that with no problem. Similar weather conditions the order of the day for the first of the week at least.
Gathering of the clan alot of fun, lots of food, hard to realize how many children we are responsible for being around. Prime rib and loin of pork the centre of the meal, all done on the BBQ, excellent dosen't do justice to the chef. Many hands made short work of the clean up, and most of the good food disappeared shortly after the call to come and get it.
We had just left St. John when a torrential rain hit, lasted for 10-15 minutes, traffic pulled off the road, as visibility a problem. Once the squall went by cleared and almost ideal condtions for having the group remain outdoors. Pleased for the last ferry, we were one of only a dozen cars, but good to be in onw bunk by the end of the day.
