Wind has finally dropped, rain has let up, however Rain Advisory combined with Hazardous Seas Warnings remain. Rain continues, temp a mild 9C, breeze from SE to return by this afternoon, next few days indicates lots of rain with a chance of a few hours of clearing this evening.
Fog just over Ross Island, harbour is clear, no waterfowl evident. Have noticed the large flocks of brant missing this past few days, possibly moved off already.
Donna hanging on for another day to let the weather system clear out. Not interested in travelling in heavy weather, rain and heavy seas not a good combination to start a few days of relaxation.

Donna travelling in the morning, but with the sun now out lamenting she didn't bite the bullet and give it a run this morning. The Bay more quiet than one could expect, several of the boats fishing conditions improving as the day moves along.
Might get a few hours to dry things out before the next system goes through.
Have a good one.

I have never seen it rain so hard, for so long. Last night was down in the rec-room and started to wonder why I could still hear the train in the village for so long. Muted t.v. only to realize it was the wind howling outside. We can never hear the wind down in the rec-room. Son came home and said he nearly got blown clean off the road.
This morning I have an honest to God lake in my back yard. A combination of the neighbour's building all this stuff (i.e. play-grounds, wood piles, sand boxes, etc., without proper drainage. Now it drains on my property. #$@^&% What can you do though - you still have to live by your neighbour. Don't want to start a war - but yet - I don't quite have a few thousand laying around to put in more drain tile. Blarg.
Now on lunch hour - 1:00 p.m. - the sun is trying to come out and it is warm. Please God don't let the mosquitos hatch. With my back yard, I will have to stay in the house. Hopefully, some will get dried before the next rain comes or don't know what I will do. A dilemma for sure.
Well, have fun bailing and don't go out without your raincoat.
Have a good one. Word. Chunks,
