A grand start to the weekend, bright sun, a slight draft from NW, current temp 4C, to rise into mid teens with sun for the weekend. Conditions, or so have been advised, condusive to getting some of the yard prepared for the spring.

The GRAND MANAN ADVENTURE has been on the run since Easter Sunday, no problems. The repair allows her to remain on the run till scheduled dry dock next year. Lots of people travelling on trips I was on yesterday.

Morning David, glad you folks made the trip, assume Emily is now up and running once again.
Tony on the boat yesterday, he and Jeremey hauled around once this week, seemed pleased with the result. The tides have been full, but now dropping back big time. Price still remains good from a year ago, however is beginning to drop back.

A boat fire a couple of days ago, a couple of guys resucued with some smoke inhalation concerns, overall very lucky. A salmon harvesting boat picked them up and broght them to shore. Not much news on how it happened, good no worse trajedy resulted, fire on the water not good.

Reports of puffins up this way, also Right Whales as far north as Cape Cod. Only six calves this winter, plankton level down last year thought to be on the reasons for low birthrate, not enough fat stored for the mother to go through pregnancy.
