Sun attempting to get the upperhand as it shows up from behind Ross Island. Not enough draft to move the flag, slight hint of overcast skies in the offing, a cool -3C, remaining clear with temps to get up above freezing ever so slight. Clear and a bit warmer over the next few days.

The new ferry a grand sea boat. Near gale force heading right into it yesterday going over, boat never moved, loud thuds when waves hit her, spray flying over the windows. Nary a move coming home, fair wind made grand time being ashore ten minutes early.

Trip to Hampton windy, must have been near the snow line as Moncton and PEI had quite a miserable day, with the schools closed on PEI. Managed to visit CANADIAN TIRE, nice to know it is still there.

Dear Rob:

That Gerald! I can imagine what he really wanted to say. Being a private kinda guy I imagine he was not too impressed to be in that position - however - he made the best of it - as usual.

Glad you liked our little town. We just finished doing the town square and pavillion. We have outside movies there in the summer, and pretty much everything else. The court house is very imposing as is Dave Lutz's office. Both old buildings that have withstood the times. The graduates always promanade on the court house walkways and then have their picture taken in all their finery. Custom.

I work at the Pharmasave, which is right on Main Street. The owner has an old victorian home across the river - probably worth a million or so - and he designed the store and doctor's offices to match everything else in town. At least if you are going to be loaded it is nice that he put the extra cash in and made it pretty.

Sorry we couldn't have met - but how many times I have been to Grand Manan and missed you every time. We are destined to be secret friends - just like face book.

Glad your crossing wasn't bad. It was beyond windy yesterday, but trust me, the day before was even worse. Glad you experienced the drive as I know you think I am exaggerating sometimes when I tell you I could barely keep my little car on the road. You will have to try the mountain passes next. Now that is a treat.

Have a great day. Word.

Morning CHUNKS, yes an opportunity for a free lunch is not to be passed up. I know that is your part of the world, however didn`t think on making the connection till after I had signed off yesterday. Mind is great, but easily cluttered with things to do.

My first time in downtown Hampton, first impression very favourable. The wind on the highway worse thana coming across the Bay, truck moving the full time on the highway. As I mentioned the ferry trip a piece of cake, a few toddlers aboard not enough motion to bother them moving about, same with us old folks.

A quick Gerald story, Otis relayed ont he weekend. Gerald in for doctor thing, had his feet in sturrups he made some kind of noise Doctor asked if he had any trouble. Gerald said possibly, doctor wanted to know in what way, he replied ``haven`t picked a name as yet``. The Wood Islander can still think on his feet or in this case on his back. Have a good one.
