The hint of sun at sunrise now hiding behind the clouds, a slight draft WSW, temps 3C, expected to rise a bit, overnight temps to dip just below the freezing mark. Similar conditions till midweek.

Emily off to Quispam this morning, much better conditons to travel. A basketball game this afternoon is the highlight of the day, or at leat for Andrew. Rob still sequestered below decks, every few hours surfaces for sweets then returns to his electronic maze.

Fishery news static, a few traps making the trip off shoret, operative word few. Price dropped back to $4.75 this past week, supply or demand must have changed.

Good morning,
We made it back from civilization, or at least civilization as far as most of the NE part of US and Canada understand it. While Baltimore, Philly and Pittsburgh are OK to visit,I don't see myself putting roots down in those hinderlands. We did see many of Cindy's relatives that she has not seen in quite a while and that was most enjoyable.

All travel connections were right on time with no complications anywhere. Weather was great for travel. We travelled via boat, car, bus, train, plane and shoes.

Ye old boat goes inside the builing (paint bottom and wax hull) next Friday and the winter will be over once that happens. It may snow and blow but I will have plenty to keep me busy. I don't think the price ever went above $4.75 here. I can't see myself flooding the market once I set out, so the price should say at that level, shouldn't it?

Dear Rob:

I am glad Emily went this morning instead of yesterday. As stated, the weather came on 'just like that'. Like .. good weather this side of the line - like hell on the other side'. Awful!

Gerald loves driving down to Deep Cove. I think he feels a bit better going that way as he can drive his speed. Not too much traffic going to SW Head direction. Any time I go I might see two cars and that's in the middle of summer.

Today is looking good so far. Same weather as you .. a bit of cloud but +4.5 or something thereto.

Daughter is home so may mean a smaller hike today. The runway clothes don't really go with walking around in the muck and mire. LOL

Have a great day.

Word. Chunks.

Mornin CHUNKS, you run into the weather I envisioned Emily having to contend with after leaving Blacks heading for Quispam. If she had made an earliar run probably not a problem, much better today, with just a bit of black ice to contend with earliar on in the morning.

Had mom out for her Saturday afternoon patrol, met Gerald doing his patrol at Deep Cove same time of the day for them both each weekend. Lots of surf to observe yesterday, along with hard rain.I can only recall one Saturday mom missed due to illness certainly no weather conditions would give her food for thought. I suppose if I made it there then it is good enough for having a look around.
