Bright sun, a slight draft from NW, remaining cool at -8C. Temp to rise as day moves along, chance of rain/snow overnight, rain and warmer temps tomorrow and next few days remains warmer, with clear skies.

Dr.'s visit went well, Otis well into 91st years enjoys blood pressure of a teenager. His memory more than a little suspect, however his health probably best described as remarkable for his age.

Dear Rob:

Hi! We are at -1 at the moment, but there is no wind so it is very pleasant outside. Nice bright sunshine and not a cloud to be seen.

Jeanne called last night and was telling me about poor Otis' oil leakage. That is just the pits. I hope the responsible party comes clean so that Otis is not on the hook for that whole clean-up. I imagine it will be an interesting bill.

Every time Jeanne and I go up the Island she always points out Otis' house and tells me how much time his wife spent making sure it was prestine at all times. I bet the inside is unbelievable.

Well, hope you are having a good day.

Morning David, retro construction not fun, with your location getting proper gear also a bit of a challenge.
Donna's dad lives alone, in one of those 100yr old plus sea captains homes. A couple of weeks ago had a full tank of furnace oil spill outside after a fill up. Over two weeks in still not complete, had to dig his yard, driveway, now under the house, remove the material to the mainland. Still not putting things back togther, won't be for sometime. Amazing the craftmanship one can see with the foundation exposed. The walls are true, not a crack in the work in any location, all rocks and mortar. A couple of decades ago would have complained about the lost oil, and wait for the smell to disappear, once the smell was gone, must be alright.
Spring lobster thoughts ramping up with the guys with the longer days, warmer weather(most days, a little boredome and decent prices driving the move to get fishing.
Enjoy your sojourn around the northeast.
