Winter remains, clear, calm and cold @ -10C, temp to rise into low single digits by this afternoon. Remains similar weather conditions till the weekend.

Business on the mainland a couple of meetings in St. Andrews and Blacks Harbour. They are spread apart enough might be able to make a side trip for a CANDAIN TIRE fix, folks across the line akin to visiting TRUE VALUE I suppose.

Wind farm possiblilty once again visiting the island, each time, believe this will be the fourth, a different approach by the promototor. Still very preliminary, will wait and see what transpires.

Dear Rob:

Slightly colder here today but still do-able :)

Try to imagine but yesterday and today I had a whole flock of robins - gorging on the left over crab apples and berries on the trees and bushes. I am sure these guys have totally lost their sense of seasons. Am not sure if they will make it for two months without any worms to forage for?

Hope your trip to Canadian Tire does not empty out the wallet, but, seeing as you will be making the return trip on Friday for Prom Dress Shopping - what the hell - your money is history any way you look at it. (Sorry - but true).

I have finally managed to contract the dumb cold. However, mine seems to be much milder than most of the poor folk who have visited me at the store for prescriptions to bags of cold/flu over-the-counter. Must be my 10 k walks in the fresh air all the time.

So, good luck on all trips abroad. Hope you survive it.

Word. Chunks.

p.s. to David: This year I may actually get the fruit trees pruned in February as you are supposed to. Most February's are so stinking cold I can't make myself go for it. Carry on!
