A grand looking morning across the harbour this morning, calm, a brillaint red sun still hiding behind the trees, temp already on the plus side at 2C. Temps to remain on the plus side then taking a dip on the negative side overnight.

Rob had his White Head hockey teamate overnight, he has been here a couple of nights a week since late fall, missed a few weeks over Xmas. He couldn't participate otherwise, the last trip to Whitehead is at 7:30PM.

Lobster price still remains over $5/lb, level catch not high, one fellow averaging a little over a pound per trap. A couple of times a week makes for a days pay.

Afternoon David, indeed does make one think spring is not too far away. Grand weather day underway, spring like for sure, with a hint of spring in the smell of the air. However to take a dramatic plunge overnight, but settle out tomorrow.

Good news on STAIRS, do watch and root for the SOX, have been in Fenway for a Blue Jays stand many years ago when CLEMENTS pitched for Toronto. Have often threatned to return, price of a ticket a bit different now, but the drive to Fenway less than eight hours will see how long I procrastinate this year.

Mention spring like I notice a few of the traps that were brought home just a few weeks ago, now being overhauled for spring fishin, good weather makes the guys bored at home.

Have a good one.

Good morning,
Almost balmy outside. I've been trimming up brush around the house a bit. Here it is the first of Feb and I am working outside in a flannel shirt and thin sweatshirt.

Hats off to the Giants. Mistakes are costly, especially in the playoffs and the Pats made more then the Giants. In the early 60's my uncle taught me the basics of football while watching the Giants on TV. He had an old TV with tubes in it. One of the tubes was going bad and when it got hot you lost the picture. He would fashion some sort of Rube Goldberg device that held an ice cube on the top of the tube so we could watch the game. The ice cube would slowly melt, we would lose the picture and he would get another ice cube. Great memories.

If you watch the RED SOX on ESPN you will see Matt Stairs all summer. He just signed on as a commentator.
Enjoy the day,
David
