Cold weather persisits, clear, a slight northerly draft, temp -12C, not to change much during the day. Warming trend for the week, for the most part clear, with little hint of any precip.

Did manage to get in the woods, picked up one load left over from last year. The fourwheeler more than a little reluctant to get going, probably should start it up more than every few months. Ground and ice strong enough to travel just about wherever one needs to be.

Emily settled in Quispam, little communication once she is in that environment. Definatly has other interests when on the mainland, she appears to be having no problem making the transition when the time comes this fall.

Dear Rob;

I hate to say it - but - please be glad that Emily is finding her way to be comfortable away from Grand Manan/home. There is nothing worse than when your kid is homesick after three weeks away from school. A lot just can't cope and end up coming home - so - well ... Quispam and what'shis name may not be so bad after all.

It was about -22 today with the wind chill but went hiking anyway. It was extreme low tide, due to the super moon phase tonight so to me it was not that cold with no wind. There was a bull seal with the wives hauled out on seal rocks today. I swear to God he was the size of a mini bus. His fur was so luxurious, shining in the sun. The girls fur looked white in the sun. They were just beautiful.

Did about nine km and could have gone again but it was getting on to 4:30 so packed it in.

Tonight the boys are all getting set to watch the game. By the look of the ceasar mix bowls, bbq wings, etc., it looks more like ... well, it's a guy thing I guess.

Have a good one.

Rob,

I am glad we have a Giants fan from the Maritimes of Bermuda. I normally root for the beagles, but the are stll in the doghouse again this year, as in the past.

Take Care:
