February coming in with damp weather this morning, snowed overnight, temp now at the 0C level, turning to rain outside, slight southerly draft underway. Weather conditions to remain in this mode for the remainder of the day.

Will be a bit of an uproar as school has been cancelled due to weather condtions. Here the roads are clear, our rain will be either snow or freezing rain on the mainland, no doubt the basis for the call to cancel classes.

Fishing news remains quiet, a bit of scalloping, egging and traps being hauled once a week seems the order of the day.

Dear Rob:

We are in HEAVY snow. Snowing hard when left for work but made it. Snowing harder when I left. Snow in parking lot half way up the front tires and well over the top of my boots. 20 minutes to clean vehicle to start for home. Traction control in commence from the minute I put it in 'drive'. That has only come on one other time since I have owned the car. Driveway has a good two feet of snow in it so parked at the end. Now going out to attempt to do something with it before others attempt home. Cody at the school. texted and said 'stay there until much later'. Blarg!

That is all I can say. Hope you fare better. Good luck.

Good morning David, your weather same as here, a good day for the shed/shore, rain at the moment, on the mainland not the case, road conditions very poor. They are having a bit of snow, still rain for us, appears will be the case for a bit.

Exploring PEI always fun at anytime of the year, has been quite a few since we have been over. A couple of summers my three brothers along with families rented over there, never worrying about something new to do or see.

Lobster License controversay brewing in our area, one license has been sold and one leaeed to Nova Scotia enterprises. Great concern if this is allowed to continue that our industry will gradually disappear. However if I am one of the license holders ready to come ashore, the more I can get for the paper that is where I will have to go.

Stay warm and dry.

ROB
